PA Resources will hold final collection events for 2019

Pennsylvania residents have one last chance to clean out basements, garages, garden sheds – and medicine cabinets – in preparation for the Pennsylvania Resources Council’s final three collection events of 2019.
PRC will collect a wide variety of materials – ranging from pesticides and medication to tires and computers – at these events:
PRC will hold a Hard-To-Recycle event on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Settlers Cabin Park Wave Pool parking lot.
Individuals can dispose of cell/home phones, CFL bulbs, computer towers and peripheral equipment (keyboards, laptops, mice, UPS/servers, Zip drives, etc.), expanded polystyrene packaging material, microwave ovens, stereo equipment and video game consoles/DVD players at no cost.
Participants will pay a fee to drop off televisions, computer monitors, printers, alkaline batteries, CDs/DVDs/VHS/floppy discs, fluorescent tubes, small Freon appliances, stereo speakers and tires, with and without rims.
A Household Chemical Collection is planned for Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Bradys Run Park Recycling Center, Beaver County.
Individuals can drop off automotive fluids, household cleaners, pesticides, paints and other household chemicals for a cost of $3/gallon, some exceptions apply. Cash only.
In conjunction with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) National Drug Take-Back Day, PRC will partner with PA American Water to host three drop-off collection events in Allegheny County.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., PRC will host collections at three locations:
Green Tree – Green Tree Borough Building, 10 W. Manilla Ave.
Mt. Lebanon – Medical Rescue Team South, 315 Cypress Way
Robinson – The Mall at Robinson (parking lot near Dick’s Sporting Goods), 100 Robinson Centre Dr.
