Civic Leadership Academy for city residents, businesses

Registration is now open for the City of Pittsburgh Civic Leadership Academy, a free program for residents and business owners operating within city limits.
The Civic Leadership Academy is an 11-week course encouraging civic leadership by giving city residents an opportunity to learn about their local government. Course members meet every Wednesday from March 27 through June 5, 6-8:30 p.m.
Among the topics covered by the course are: Office of Mayor William Peduto; Department of Finance; Emergency Medical Services; Fire Bureau; Police Bureau; Water and Sewer Authority; Parking Authority; Parks and Recreation; City Planning; Mobility and Infrastructure; Urban Redevelopment Authority; Public Works; Department of Permits, Licenses and Inspections; and, Housing Authority.
