The Youth Farm at Hilltop Urban Farm is in a competition to win $15,000 in the Nature's Path Organic's Gardens for Good campaign.

The Youth Farm features an orchard, raised beds, solar and STEM gardens. Students at the farm will learn to grow food, expand their understanding of basic food nutrition and food preparation, and improve their attitudes towards eating locally grown fruits and vegetables. They will also develop a through knowledge of garden ecology and learn about the nature of local and global agriculture and how these systems affect the environment, consumer along with local and global economies.

With this funding they will be able to bring agriculture, nutrition and ecology programs to up to 500 students in the Hilltop and we will expand our Youth Farm Orchard with berries, bushes and more fruit and nut trees

The annual Gardens for Good grant helps empower urban garden projects to grow organic food and nourish their communities. The program has supported 24 gardens across North America with $15,000 grants over the last eight years.
