Dairy District has a busy September

The Carrick Dairy District Pavilion, 1529 Brownsville Road, will host several events during September.

A free movie night is planned for the Carrick Dairy District Pavilion on Saturday, Sept 15. Film fans should bring a chair, beanbag chair, or sleeping bag. Come at 6 p.m. the first movie starts at 6:30 p.m.

Volunteers are needed for the Garbage Olympics community clean up on September 22 from 9-11a.m. Carrick will be competing with 22 other neighborhoods to see who can pick up the most trash.

The competition will be judged by the Clean Pittsburgh Commission - with prizes for most trash collected as well as weirdest item found and other surprises. Volunteers should meet at the Dairy District Pavilion at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22. Coffee and Donuts will be served before heading out to pick up trash.

That evening, Sept. 22 from 5-9 p.m., "Bites and Brews" is back at the Dairy District Pavilion for the third year featuring the Carrick band Radiation as well as an opening band. 

Family Restaurant's food truck will be there serving gyros and more. Casehandlers will be serving the beer for the event.

Everyone is welcome. Free entry. Food and beverages available for purchase.
