Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.
Zone case 26/18 on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 10:00 a.m. is the appeal of Jared Korchok, applicant, and AHI Development Inc., owner, for S. 19th & Mary streets in the 17th Ward (Zoning District R1A-VH).
Applicant requests to renovate former church into six condo units with six integral parking spaces.
Variances: 911.02: Use as multi-unit residential is not permitted in R1A zoning district; 903.03.E, 912.04: Minimum 5’ side setback required and 0’ proposed (landing and stairs); 914.06.A: Minimum 1 van accessible parking space required and 0 proposed; 914.09.F: Garage doors need to be located at least 20’ from the sidewalk and street right-of-way; proposed garage door is 3’ from the sidewalk.
Zone case 36/18 on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 9:40 a.m. is the appeal of Brian Vetere Carson City Vetere, applicant, and 10 Virginia Ave. LLC, owner, for 10 Virginia Avenue and 55 Wyoming Street in the 19th Ward (Zoning District LNC).
Applicant requests off-site parking for 10 Virginia to be provided at 55 Wyoming Street, expansion of the use as a restaurant (general) within LNC and reduction of the required parking for restaurant (general). Also, see Past Cases and Decisions.
Special Exceptions: 911.04.A.57: Expansion of the use as restaurant (general); 914.07.G.2(a): Off-site parking is a Special Exception.

Zone case 33/18 on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 10:00 a.m. is the appeal of Pamela Williams, applicant, and Trimont Residential Condominium, owner, for 1306 Grandview Avenue in the 19th Ward (Zoning District AP).
Applicant requests 6’ privacy fence for vacant lot.
Variance: 905.01.C: Minimum 30’ front setback required and 0’ requested.
