The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.
Duquesne Heights (1911) - NTR (nothing to report).
Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)
Theft – 100 blk. Craighead St. – between 7 PM and 11 PM on 9/24/17 – Victim's had the license plate stolen from his vehicle. It is Florida plate GCDV56.
Theft – 100 blk. Bailey Ave. – 9/24/17 at 3:30 AM – Victim reports losing his wallet in a private transport vehicle. The wallet contained social security information, credit card, state ID, keys, business cards, and receipts. Amount of loss is over $20. The card was later used to make unauthorized transactions.
Robbery – 400 blk. Kingsboro St. – 9/30/17 at 9:46 PM – Officers responded to a robbery of a pizza delivery driver. Upon arrival, the delivery driver explained what happened. He was delivering the pizza when a male dressed in all black run towards him with a firearm in his hand. The suspect demanded all of his money. The driver then handed over $10 and the pizza. The male had a female accomplice who told the male to check his vehicle for money too. Meanwhile, more people started appearing which caused the suspects to flee the area. The female is described as a black female, 20-25 years old, 5'5", 185 pounds, large/heavy build, black hair, wearing pink hoodie and gray sweat pants. The male is described as 5'7", 180 pounds, medium build, wearing black hoodie, and black jeans. Amount of loss is over $24.42.
Criminal Trespass – 100 blk. Cowan St. – 9/29/17 at 3:13 AM – A father was awakened by his daughter screaming. When the father went to investigate his daughter stated she woke up to find a black male (18-30 years old, medium build, long dread locks, wearing a black sweatshirt, and black jeans) standing in the living room. The suspect stayed on scene until he was alerted to the father's presence and fled.
Theft – 200 blk. Jasper St. – between 9/23/17 at midnight and 9/26/17 at 4 PM – Victim reported the theft of his coin collection. The coins were gold with U.S. Presidents on them. The loss is $29.95.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)
Theft from vehicle – 2700 blk. Oakley Way – between 9/9/17 at 5 PM and 9/26/17 at 1:30 PM – Victim had the license plate (PA – KFR3957) stolen off of the vehicle.
Theft from vehicle – 2100 blk. Salisbury St. – between 9/27/17 at 8:30 PM and 9/28/17 at 6:55 AM – Victim reported her 2008 Dell laptop and Coach, laptop bag, & black wristlet were stolen from her vehicle. Amount of loss is over $120.
Theft – 2600 blk. Josephine St. – between 6:30 AM and 3:30 PM on 10/1/17 – Victim reported her black Trek Verve bicycle was stolen off of the porch. Amount of loss is $400.
Burglary – 100 blk. Pius St. – between 9/17/17 at 8 AM and 9/26/17 at 7:30 PM – Victim's roommate found the locked shed pried open and the victim's Diamondback mountain bike stolen. The amount of loss is $450.
South Side Flats (1609 & 1702)
Robbery/Aggravated Assault – 2500 blk. E. Carson St. – 9/25/17 at 1:55 PM – A white male (30 to 40 years old, 6'4", 180 pounds, thin build, bald/shaved head, medium complexion, wearing white hoodie, blue jeans, black bandanna, and gray scarf) entered the business wielding a knife. When the white male saw the security guard he fled with the guard in pursuit. A brief struggle between the security guard and suspect occurred with the security guard being stabbed. The guard was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Theft – E. Carson St. & S. 24th St. – between 9/22/17 at midnight and 9/26/17 at 3 PM – Victim reported 2 people he knew stole his clothing, shoes, and TV set. The victim had made arrangements with the known people to store his clothing. The amount of loss is $9,500.
Theft – 2500 blk. Sarah St. – between 8/20/17 at midnight and 8/31/17 at midnight – Victim reported giving access to known people to complete work on his father's property. The victim and father then discovered their tools had been taken. The tools are DeWalt miter saw, DeWalt table saw, multiple Rigid tools (power drills, sawzalls, impact gun, plus others), & Lincoln electric torch set with a red case. Amount of loss is over $3,000.
Theft – 2500 blk. E. Carson St. – 9/26/17 at 7:15 PM – Victim reported her debit card, credit card, and cash was stolen from her purse. The amount of loss is over $20.
Theft – 2700 blk. Sidney St. – between 9/29/17 at 9 PM and 9/30/17 at 2:11 AM – An employee called to report another employee had stolen the company vehicle. The stolen vehicle is a white 2016 Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle has been recovered and an arrest was made by another police department.
Theft – 2600 blk. S. Water St. – between midnight and 6:29 PM on 9/30/17 – Victim reported leaving a bag with his medication on his vehicle. When he returned the medication was gone. Amount of loss is unknown.
Theft of property lost or mislaid – 1600 blk. E. Carson St. – 9/24/17 at 1:30 AM – Victim reported leaving behind a Louis Vuitton wallet (blue/black), debit cards, credit cards, gift cards, state ID, insurance card, & cash in a transportation company's vehicle. Amount of loss is over $590.
Theft – 1900 blk. Jane St. – between 9/25/17 at 5 PM and 9/26/17 at 10:15 AM – A company reported their 28 foot orange fiberglass ladder was stolen from a work site. Amount of loss is $239.
Burglary – 100 blk. S. 19th St. – between 7:15 AM and 5:30 PM – Victim reported someone pried open his door and stole several items. The items were a Nike bag, Nautica belt, Xbox One gaming console, and Xbox One games. Amount of loss is $680.
Theft – 100 blk. S. 19th St. – between 2 AM and 10 AM on 9/27/17 – Victim reported his blue Trek mountain bike was stolen from his yard. Amount of loss is unknown.
Theft – 200 blk. S. 9th St. – 9/27/17 at 4:30 PM – Victim was at work and a client needed to use the phone. Later, the victim discovered their wallet, social security information, state ID, credit card, triple A card, and cash were taken. Amount of loss is unknown.
Theft from vehicle – S.18th St. & E. Carson St. - 9/28/17 at 1 PM – Victim reported his rear window was smashed and his HP laptop, passport, and laptop bag had been stolen from his vehicle. Amount of loss is unknown.
Robbery – 1700 blk. Jane St. – 9/28/17 at 11:45 AM – Officers responded to a robbery call. Upon arrival, the victim stated she heard footsteps behind her and when she turned around she was confronted by a black male (wearing a red sweatshirt with Nike logo, tall slender black male about 6'2", light jeans, white shoes) with a gun held against her stomach. The suspect demanded her to empty her pockets which she complied. The suspect then asked if she had anything else because if she lied he would shoot her. The suspect then took her Iphone 7 and her red wallet with her student ID. Officers in the area saw a suspect matching the description with two other males. Upon arrival, the two of the three other males fled only to be caught moments later. The victim was brought to the scene. She identified Victor Hall as the one who pulled the gun on her and took her items. One of the suspects that fled was scene placing a silver handgun into a trash can. All three suspects were arrested. The suspects were Victor Hall, Dasean Banks, and Markise Layne. A Ruger .45 firearm was recovered along with ammunition.
Theft from vehicle – S. 12th St. & Breed St. – between 9/29/17 at 5 PM and 9/30/17 at 2 PM – Victim reported her school parking pass and auxiliary cord were stolen out of her vehicle. Amount of loss is $1,310.
Burglary – 1900 blk. Jane St. – 9/29/17 at 1:30 AM – Victim reported discovering video surveillance of his home being burglarized. Entry was made through a window and various hand tools were stolen from the home. The amount of loss is about $400. The suspect is a white male, 25-35 years old, 5'8", 180 pounds, medium build, wearing white shoes, black tee shirt with white writing on it, and a black baseball cap.
Theft of property lost or mislaid – S. 12th St. & E. Carson St. – 10/1/17 at 2:30 AM – Victim reported he lost his phone while drinking on South Side. The phone is an iPhone 7 valued at $700.
Theft from vehicle – 1200 blk. Muriel St. – between 9/30/17 at 1 PM and 10/1/17 at 9:10 AM – Victim reported his Glock model 43 firearm was stolen from his vehicle. The amount of loss is $520.
Theft – 2000 blk. Wharton St. – 9/28/17 at 4:25 PM – Victim reported he lost is debit card at a local restaurant. Amount of loss is unknown.
Theft – 800 blk. E. Warrington Ave. – 9/29/17 at 1:04 PM – The owner called to report his Mac laptop along with his employee's Droid Turbo phone were stolen from his business. There is video of the theft. The amount of loss is $2,200.
Theft – 900 blk. Industry St. – between 9/27/17 at 2 PM and 9/29/17 at midnight – Victim reported a known person took her Sears electric lawn mower and 100' extension cord without out returning it. The amount of loss is $125.
Mount Oliver (1607) - NTR (nothing to report).
Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Fitler St. – 9/27/17 at 10:41 PM – Victim reported seeing his dome light on and discovering 2 screwdrivers were stolen. Amount of loss is $20. There is video surveillance of this incident.
Theft from vehicle – 300 blk. Clover St. – between 9/27/17 at 11:30 PM and 9/28/17 at 5 PM – Victim reported had a lock box in his vehicle broken into and tools were stolen along with a GPS unit. Amount of loss is unknown.
Arlington Heights (1604) - NTR (nothing to report).
Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Freeland St. – 9/26/17 at 1:08 AM – Officers saw a black male in dark clothing shutting the driver's door to a red Ford Escape. The male then walked towards the back of the house. Moments later, officers observed this male walking away from the home and down a dimly lit alley. Officers went back to the vehicle and observed items in the vehicle scattered inside. Officers then checked the area and found the suspect. The suspect was jogging and when the officers turned the spotlight on the suspect he stopped jogging, turned away, and put his hands behind his head. The officers asked why he behaved like this and he stated he heard them coming. When the officers informed the suspect he was observed in the car his response was he was looking for change. Keith Williams II was arrested and taken to the county jail. The door was left unsecure to allow air to flow into the home.
Theft from vehicle – W. Warrington & Boggston Ave. – between 8 AM and 7 PM on 9/22/17 – Victim reported his folder with his registration and insurance had been stolen from the center console in his vehicle. Amount of loss is unknown.
Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)
Theft – 2000 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 9/25/17 at 9 PM and 9/26/17 at 9 AM – Victim reported his Toro push mower was stolen from the rear of his home. Amount of loss is $300.
Theft – 1600 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 8/1/17 at noon and 9/1/17 at noon – A property owner reported a refrigerator was stolen from him. The owner suspects the former tenant took the property.
Theft – 100 blk. Anglo Way – between 9/26/17 at 4 AM and 9/26/17 at 7 AM – An employee of a service provider reported the theft of 100 feet of 1200 pair cable from his company. Amount of loss is unknown.
Theft – 100 blk. Anglo Way – 9/29/17 at 1:25 AM – Reporting person saw a male and another person trying to pull down fiber optic wire. The reporting person yelled at them and they fled. The wire was pulled down and the amount of loss is unknown.
Theft from vehicle – 300 blk. Antenor Ave. – between 9/26/17 at 9 PM and 9/27/17 at 6:30 AM – Victim reported his credit cards, gift cards, cash, and iPod were stolen from his vehicle. Amount of loss is over $203.
Criminal Trespass – 2600 blk. Churchview Ave. – 9/27/17 at 4:45 AM – Victim reported a Hispanic male (5'6", 150 pounds, small build, short black hair, wearing blue/yellow short sleeve shirt, blue/yellow/red sweatshirt, and blue jeans) climbing through his window. The victim added she heard a noise and looked out her window and saw a male standing across the street with a black handgun. The victim stated the male saw hear and started running towards her while pointing the gun towards the window. The victim then heard her gate open and a gun shot. She then stated she heard the male attempting to jump into the apartment through the window.
Burglary – 2200 blk. Almont St. – 9/27/17 at 8 AM – Victim reported returning home and finding the window screen was taken out. She stated entry into her home had occurred. The victim stated some coins, toilet paper, and garbage bags had been stolen. Amount of loss is unknown.
Burglary – 200 blk. Parkfield St. – between 9/27/17 at 12:58 AM and 9/27/17 at 2 AM – An employee reported a burglary. Entry appears to have been made through a door which had been rigged to stay unlocked. The employee observed the following was stolen from the building. A Sony PlayStation, NBA Y2K and Madden 2017 games, 5 cell phones. Amount of loss is over $100.
Stolen vehicle – 100 blk. Stewart Ave. – between 9/27/17 at 3 PM and 9/28/17 at 6 AM – Victim reported his silver 2013 Honda Accord with PA plate JFH5053 had been stolen.
Theft from vehicle – Spokane Ave. & Ariston Ave. – between 9/28/17 at 9 PM and 9/29/17 at 6 AM – Victim reported his Garmin GPS and CDs were stolen out of his vehicle. There was no apparent damage to the vehicle.
Robbery – 2800 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 9/30/17 at 4:35 PM – Officers responded to a robbery of a business. Employees explained a black male (20-29 years old, 5'9", small/thin build, wearing a black hoodie, dark blue jeans, and a black mask) entered the business and demanded them to open the registers. The employees complied and the suspect grabbed the money from the counter top. The suspect then walked backwards out of the store while pointing the gun at the employees.
Overbrook (3204, 3207)
Theft – 2000 blk. Walton Ave. – between 12:30 AM and noon on 9/26/17 – An employee reported the theft of 50' of copper line. Amount of loss is unknown.
Burglary – 100 blk. Queenston St. – between 9/29/17 at 6:30 AM and 9/30/17 at 12:30 PM – Victim observed a window in his home was broken out. He discovered two firearms (Glock 19 .45 caliber Gen 4 and a Triplex Gladiator Prima .25 caliber had been stolen from his home. Amount of loss is unknown.
Theft from vehicle – 2500 blk. Kingwood St. – between 9/28/17 at 7:30 PM and 9/29/17 at 12:48 PM – Victim reported cash, change purse and bottle of Tylenol was stolen from her vehicle. Amount of loss is over $20.
St. Clair (1606) - NTR (nothing to report).
Burglary – 100 blk. Bausman St. – between 2 AM and 7 AM on 9/25/17 – An employee of a business received an alarm to his business and found the glass door had been broken and novelty 20 bills had been stolen.
Theft – Knox Ave. & Mathews Ave. – 9/25/17 at 9:04 PM – Officers observed a vehicle driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Officers checked and the vehicle was reported stolen. The driver then abruptly pulled into a business parking the vehicle and exiting it. Officers then placed the suspect/driver. The suspect had the keys to the vehicle on him too. The suspect was transported to the county jail.
Theft of property delivered – 100 blk. Knox Ave. – 5/3/17 at midnight – Victim reported a package from Fingerhut had been delivered to her home but it was stolen.
Robbery – 200 blk. Bausman St. – 9/25/17 at 10:45 AM – Victim stated he went to buy "weed" and was met by 2 black males who started punching and kicking him and took his cash and cell phone. Amount of loss is $770. Both were 5'6". One was wearing blue jeans, black tee shirt, and black Jordans. The second one was wearing blue shorts, pink tee shirt, and black shoes.
