South Side Street Party on Saturday

The Fifth Annual South Side Street Party will take place on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 3-8 p.m. on 22nd Street, alongside Ormsby Park.

The free event is for all 15203 residents, businesses and friends. Those attending are asked to bring their own beverages along with an appetizer or dessert to share.

The event will include beginning at 3 p.m .: Lee Robinson Music’s Jazz Band; a moon bounce, balloon sculptor and face painter; a duck pond and prizes; beginner unicycling; a South Side History Corner; and, Corn Hole and other games.

A Kung Fu demonstration will take place at 3:15 p.m.

Meet local firefighters and police officers beginning at 4 p.m. There will also be a Tai Chi class at 4 p.m.

Story Time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

Strange Brew rock band and Flow Yoga will begin at 5 p.m.

zTrip will provide a free shuttle service with stops with stops at Armstrong Park at 13th Street; Pius and 18th streets; and, Carson Retirement Residence near Hot Metal Bridge.
