The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: August 28-September 3.

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Robbery – 100 blk. Harwood Way – 8/29/17 at 10:34 PM – A pizza delivery driver tried to deliver a pizza to an address. The residence told him they did not order anything. He left only to have the original caller contact him. The caller told him they were at the location. When he arrived and got the pizza out a suspect wearing a blue mask pointed a silver revolver at him and told him the give him all the money. The victim hand over the cash in his pocket. Amount taken was $50.

Theft – 100 blk. Kenova St. – 8/30/17 at 12:35 AM – Victim reported she saw two black males steal her blue bicycle from her porch. The black male with her bike was 25-30 years old, dark clothing, and short black hair. Amount of loss is $25.

Robbery – 200 blk. Lelia St. – 9/1/17 at 4 AM – Victim reported he took a "jitney" home from a business with friends. He gave his friends $10 to pay the jitney. The jitney upon arriving at his home asked him for his money. The victim told him he gave it to the people he was with to pay him. The jitney driver stated they did not pay him and he better give him the money or he would shoot the victim. The victim then handed over $5 to the driver. The victim did not know the driver.

Theft – 400 blk. Edgemont St. – 9/2/17 at 12:31 AM – Victim reported a known person stole her Fila high-top basketball shoes. Amount of loss is $63.99.

Theft by deception – 300 blk. Kambach St. – between 8/29/17 at 9:40 AM and 9/3/17 at 3:30 PM – Victim reported she contacted a person through the internet and signed a lease to rent a home and was required to send $600 and the keys would be sent to her. The victim was able to contact the real owner who stated he did not list the property or give anyone else to list it for rent.

Theft – 2000 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 9/2/17 at 12:07 PM – Both parties involved accused one another of stealing money from each other. Neither party saw who stole the money.

South Shore (1921) – Nothing to report.

Bon Air (1806) – Nothing to report.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Theft – 1400 blk. Eleanor St. – 8/310/17 at 9:48 PM – Victim reported she had friends over to watch TV. She left the room for several minutes and returned. She observed her PlayStation 4 gaming console and 2 controllers had been stolen. Later, her friend was able to find the suspect and returned the gaming console but no controllers. Amount of loss is $100. The gaming console was $400.

Theft – 1500 blk. Conway St. – between 9/1/17 at 2 PM and 9/2/17 at 1 AM – Victim reported a known person stole a tee shirts, pair of blue jeans, & cash. Amount of loss is $358.

South Side Flats (1609 & 1702)

Theft – 2500 blk. Sidney St. – between 8/23/17 at 7 PM and 8/28/17 at 2 PM – Victim reported her bicycle and chain lock had been stolen from her courtyard. Amount of loss is $250. The bicycle is an All-Terrain black and silver color with tan seat.

Theft – 2100 blk. E. Carson St. – between 8/28/17 at 10 PM and 8/29/17 at 11:30 PM – Victim reported his social security information, rent paperwork, debit card, paystubs, time cards, & credit CD statements had been stolen from this home.

Robbery – 2500 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/30/17 at 3:26 PM – Multiple officers responded to a robbery of a business call. Witnesses reported a white male suspect (45-55 years old, 6'2", 180 pounds, large build, light complexion, black baseball cap, black stocking mask over face, gray jacket, blue jeans, & black tennis shoes) entered the business and pointed a black firearm and demanded people to get down on the floor and for the cashiers to give him all the money.

Theft of property last or mislaid – 1600 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/27/17 at 1:30 AM – Victim reported leaving her phone in a business' bathroom and when she returned it was gone. Amount of loss is $70. The phone was a Samsung Galaxy Core.

Aggravated assault – 1900 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/29/17 at 10:19 PM – Officers responded to an intoxicated male call. Upon arrival, the intoxicated man was located. According to the intoxicated man, he had been involved in a fight with a black male over beer and was now bleeding from the head. Officers requested medics due to his high level of intoxication and head injury. Medics advised the intoxicated man he needed medical attention. While officers were getting the males information for a citation, he decided to flee the scene. After a brief foot pursuit, officers grabbed him only for the suspect/intoxicated man to turn and strike the officer in the groin. After a brief struggle, the suspect was taken to a local hospital. There he admitted to hospital staff he attempted to jump off a bridge. He was admitted into the hospital and officers will apply for an arrest warrant.

Theft – 100 blk. S. 18th St. – between 8/29/17 at noon & 8/30/17 at noon – Victim reported a known person stole cash from his home. The victim stated the known person had been staying at his resident on and off again. Amount of loss is $12,000.

Theft from vehicle – 1800 blk. Larkins Way – 8/31/17 at 3 PM – Victim reported her Michael Cors purse and clutch were stolen out of her vehicle while it was parked. The purse and clutch had the following contents stolen too: cash, Galaxy S7 cell phone, & State ID. Amount of loss is $1,160.

Theft from vehicle – 2100 blk. Wrights Way – 9/1/17 at 5:30 PM and 9/2/17 at 12:10 PM – Victim reported her driver's side front window was broken and her sunglasses along with her PennDOT Turnpike EZ pass was stolen. Amount of loss is over $15.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. S. 23rd St. – between 9/1/17 at 6:30 PM and 9/2/17 at 9:40 AM – Victim reported someone broke the front passenger side window on his vehicle. The suspect then stole a Cabela fly-fishing rod, 2 Cabela fly-fishing reels, & 100 lures from a fly-fishing bag. Amount of loss is $1,100.

Theft from vehicle – S. 25th St. & Harcum Way – between 9/1/17 at 7 PM and 9/2/17 at 8 PM – Victim reported his front passenger side window was broken, but nothing was taken. Amount of damage is unknown.

Theft – 1600 blk. Roland St. – between 9/1/17 at 10 AM & 9/2/17 at 11:30 AM – Victim reported his Fuji bicycle was stolen. It was locked to a tree. The amount of loss is $700.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. S. 15th St. – between 9/1/17 at 10 AM and 9/2/17 at 5 AM – Victim reported her front passenger side window was broken out and her Garmin GPS was stolen. Amount of loss is $150.

Allentown (1803)

Theft – 100 blk. Renwick St. – between 8/25/17 at noon and 8/27/17 at noon – Victim reported someone who resides with her took her prescription medication. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 800 blk. E. Warrington Ave. – 9/3/17 at 2:35 PM – Victim reported someone stole her PA license plate (JVV 3609) off of her vehicle and switched it with another plate. Amount of loss is unknown.

Mount Oliver (1607) – Nothing to report.

Arlington (1603)

Theft – 2500 blk. Spring St. – between 9/2/17 at 9:30 PM and 9/3/17 at 10:30 AM – Reporting person stated their relatives firearm was stolen. There were several people in and out of the home before the firearm was discovered as stolen. The firearm is a High Standard high Sierra model .22 caliber revolver. The amount of loss is unknown.

Arlington Heights (1604) – Nothing to report.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Robbery – 400 blk. Freeland St. – 8/28/17 at 6:30 PM – Officers responded to an armed home invasion. Upon arrival, officers were informed by the victims two black males arrived in a black 2008 BMW 335i who live in the area. The driver was a black male, 5'6", afro, beard, wearing a black and red hooded sweatshirt. The passenger was a black male, 6'1", 200 pounds, medium build, long dreads, beard, and wearing a gray sweat suite. The victim stated he had a brief conversation with them that was friendly. Upon the victim entering his home, he turned and saw the tall male pointing a small black semi-automatic pistol at him. Both males demanded the victim to empty all his pockets and to surrender his money. The victim then handed over his money. The suspects then ransacked his room and finding nothing else fled the scene. Amount of loss is about $1,300.

Aggravated assault – 200 blk. Beltzhoover Ave. – 9/3/17 at 11:30 PM – An officer was on another call when he heard gun shots. He saw two vehicles approach his position at a high rate of speed. He was able to stop one vehicle. The driver stated he was just shot at by an unknown person(s). Officers saw observed a vehilcle fleeing the area and pursued. During the pursuit, the car stopped and the passenger fled. The driver was detained. The passenger was located along with a firearm. Officers also recovered "stamp bags" with heroin. Both passenger and driver were arrested. Devonta Coaston & Keevenn Jackson were taken to police Headquarters to be interviewed.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft – 2100 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 9 AM and 7:45 PM on 8/30/17 – Victim reported someone stole her prescription from the local drug store. Amount of loss is $73.98.

Burglary – 100 blk. Thielman Ave. – between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM – Victim observed her screen was ripped and someone entered her home through a window. The victim also discovered items stolen. The items were 2 pair of shoes, gold wedding band with small diamonds, 3 swim suits, miscellaneous clothing, Columbia jacket, 2 gold bracelets, & Sorel boots. Amount of loss is $1,770.

Theft from vehicle – 200 blk. E. Meyers St. – between 8/29/17 at 6 PM and 8/30/17 at 6:16 AM – Victim reported items stolen from her vehicle. The items were insurance card, registration, 4 screwdrivers, knife, tire gauge, & bulbs for brake lights. Amount of loss is over $80.

Burglary – 2200 blk. Almont St. – between 8/27/17 at 10 AM and 8/28/17 at 9 AM – Victim reported 2 silver chains, SIM card for camera, & vehicle were stolen from her home. There is no sign of forced entry and the victim reported the vehicle was stolen/returned to the same spot where it was located with an empty tank.

Robbery – 2400 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 8/28/17 at 8:49 PM – Victim reported a known person forced entry into her home and stolen the keys and her vehicle (blue/silver 2005 Chrysler Pacifica with PA plate HGB4396).

Theft by deception – 300 blk. Carrick Ave. – between 8/25/17 at 6 PM and 9/1/17 at 1 PM – Victim reported he made arrangements through the internet to purchase a boat for $1,500. He sent the payment but the boat was never delivered. The victim is unable to contact the seller of the boat.

Overbrook (3204, 3207) – Nothing to report.

St. Clair (1606)

Aggravated assault – Wagner St. & Mountain Ave. – 8/30/17 at 7 PM – Victims reported a car following their vehicle. The victims then observed gun shots coming from behind them. The victims' vehicle was struck with projectiles from the gun. Officers were able to discover the suspects' identities in this case.

Knoxville (3001)

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Charles St. – between 1:30 AM and 7 AM on 8/29/17 – Victim reported his rear passenger side window was broken out of his car and cigarettes and an old LG smartphone was stolen. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 400 blk. Arabella St. – between 8/24/17 at noon and 8/28/17 at 8:30 AM – Victim reported someone wrote an unauthorized check for $358.82.
