The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: August 21-27.

Duquesne Heights (1911) - NTR (nothing to report).

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft from vehicle – 200 blk. Bailey Ave. – between 8/21/17 at 7 PM and 8/22/17 at 7:20 AM – Victim reported finding her glove box open and the contents scattered inside the vehicle. There was no sign of forced entry and nothing appears to have been stolen.

Arson – Grandview Park at Bailey Ave. – 8/23/17 at 1:50 PM – Arson detectives responded to a portable toilet on fire. No one was inside of the toilert. Amount of damage is $100.

Theft from vehicle – 200 blk. Cairo St. – between 8/22/17 at 7 PM and 8/23/17 at 8:30 AM – Victim reported someone had rifled through her vehicle but nothing was stolen.

Burglary – 100 blk. Cowan St. – between 8/22/17 at 7:45 PM and 8/23/17 at 8:30 AM – Victim reported his window was broken and gained entry into his home. Also, the victim reported 2 TVs (42" Vizio & 32" RCA) were stolen. The amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 400 blk. Natchez St. – between 8/25/17 at 9:30 PM and 8/26/17 at 11:30 AM – Victim reported 3 impact guns were stolen from his shed. Amount of loss is $1,700.

Stolen/Recovered vehicle – 400 blk. Natchez St. – between 7/26/17 at noon & 8/26/17 at Noon – Victim reported he discovered his stolen 1995 YZ125 motorbike and recovered it from this location.

South Shore (1921) - NTR

Bon Air (1806)

Theft – 100 blk. Reifert St. – between 8/19/17 at 5 PM and 8/21/17 at noon – Victim reported she had friends over to her home. Later, she realized her Kel-Tec 9mm firearm had been stolen from her home. Amount of loss is unknown.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Burglary – 2000 blk. Arlington Ave. – between 8/18/17 at 3 PM and 8/21/17 at 6:55 AM – Owner of a business reported a burglary. The owner reported a safe, tools, cash, keys, & paperwork were taken from the business. Also, the company truck was stolen 2008 GMC which has been recovered. Amount of loss is unknown at this time.

Robbery - 2300 blk. Baltic Way. – 8/21/17 at 4:40 AM – Victim reported a known person took her phone by force when she called police to have him removed. Amount of loss for iPhone is unknown.

Theft by deception – 3200 blk. Edwards Way – 8/15/17 at 2 PM – Victim reported he used the internet to purchase a Ruger 10/22 Talo edition rifle. The victim wired the money but has not received the rifle and the other party cannot be contacted. Amount of loss is $183.

Theft – 2000 blk. S. 18th St. – between 8/20/17 at 7 PM and 8/21/17 at 12:45 AM – Victim reported her white 2014 Kia Rio with PA plate JXB5100 was stolen.

Theft – 1800 blk. Arlington Ave. – between 8/16/17 at 3 PM and 8/21/17 at 12:30 AM – Victim reported he had contractors working on his property and when the company was collecting their tools they took his tools too. Amount of loss is $970. The tools were a circuit tester, air compressor, nail gun with hose, Ryobi drill, 3 Ryobi batteries, socket & tool set, 100' extension cord, electricians side cutter (Klein tool), cordless reciprocating saw, Central Pro jigsaw, & 2 wiring snakes.

Robbery – 2600 blk. S. 18th St. – 8/23/17 at 2:30 AM – Victim reported a black male (about 12 years old) came to his door asking for help to call his mom. When the victim opened the door, 3 additional young black males used slight force to take the victims' cell phones (Samsung Galaxy 6 edge & iPhone 6), 2 PlayStation 4s, a PlayStation 3, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, Asus laptop, and cash. Amount of loss is $4,290.

Theft – S. 18th St. & Arlington Ave. – 8/25/17 at 10 AM – Victim explained he fell asleep at a bus stop and when he woke up his black book bag containing his state ID, EBT card, waterproof speaker, & social security information had been stolen.

South Side Flats (1609 & 1702)

Robbery – 2500 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/24/17 at 3:05 PM – Officers responded to a local business which was robbed by a white male (6'2", thin build, 170 pounds, clean shaven, pale complexion, dark gray button-up shirt, black baseball cap, black/white tennis shoes, ski mask, white gloves, & blue jeans. The suspect had a firearm and demanded money from the business. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 2100 blk. Merriman Way. – between 8/25/17 at 1 PM and 8/27/17 at 4 PM. – Victim reported someone stole her gray Nishiki Tamarack 20" bicycle from her porch. Amount of loss is unknown.

Robbery – 1700 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/21/17 at 10:21 AM – Officers responded to the robbery of a business. An employee explained a white male 6'2" wearing sunglasses, brown wig, red/brown flannel shirt came into the business. The suspect was armed with a knife demanded money. Amount of loss is unknown.

Burglary – 100 blk. S. 20th St. – between 8/21/17 at 5:30 PM and 8/22/17 at 2:30 PM – A contractor reported finding a window open and his paint sprayer, pump, & hose were stolen. Amount of loss is $700.

Robbery – 1600 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/22/17 at 8:50 PM – Officers responded to a robbery of a local business. The employee explained 2 males entered the business. The white male (6', 140 pounds, small build, hat, & bandana) and black male (5'8"& 150 pounds, hat, bandana) entered and the black male suspect brandished a firearm while the white male ordered the employee to the ground and demanded money or he would hurt the employee. The suspects then fled the scene once they had the money. The amount of loss is unknown.

Burglary – 100 blk. S. 18th St. – between 8/22/17 at 3:20 PM and 8/23/17 at 9:18 AM – Victim reported someone forced his door open and stole his silver Kobalt Mitre saw. The amount of loss is $300.

Theft – 1300 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/24/17 at 3 PM – Victim reported someone stole her Samsung Galaxy Note 5 phone while she was at work. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 1300 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/24/17 at 2:25 PM – Victim reported his iPhone 7 plus was lost at some point after exiting a vehicle. Amount of loss is $800.

Allentown (1803)

Robbery – Allen St. & Proctor Way – 8/23/17 at 3 PM – Victim (juvenile) was approached by a group of 5 black males. One of then ripped the victim's bike (black Mongoose with some orange) from under him and fled. Amount of loss is $100. The suspect(s) were unknown juveniles.

Theft – 800 blk. Freeland St. – between 8/16/17 at noon and 8/23/17 at 10 AM – Victim reported a known person took her jewelry and damaged her property when she was being evicted. Amount of loss is estimated at $10,975.

Robbery – 600 blk. E. Warrington Ave. – 8/24/17 at 3:50 PM – Victim reported he was visiting a known female. When she walked out of the apartment 2 black males entered the apartment and grabbed cash and his iPhone from his person. The victim fled the apartment who was chased by 3 black males. The victim refused to cooperate with officers (identify the suspects or press charges). Amount of loss is $700.

Theft – 100 blk. Brosville St. – between 8/23/17 at 8:30 PM and 8/24/17 at 7:30 AM – Victim reported her Schwinn (red) bike was stolen from her porch. Amount of loss is $120.

Theft – 3000 blk. Arlington Ave. – between 7/26/17 at noon and 8/26/17 at 12:34 PM – Victim reported a known person accessed his account and made an unauthorized transaction. Amount of loss is $231.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Theft of property delivered – 500 blk. Beltzhoover Ave. – 8/23/17 at Noon – Victim reported surveillance captured the image of a black male stealing 2 boxes from Amazon from his porch. Amount of loss is $100.

Theft from vehicle – 200 blk. Beltzhoover Ave. – 8/27/17 at 11:20 PM – Victim heard the sound of glass breaking and looked and saw her back passenger side window on her vehicle had been broken out and a Red Fuel battery charger had been stolen. Amount of loss is unknown.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Burglary – 2000 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 8/11/17 at 8 AM and 8/20/17 at 3 PM – Victim reported someone took cash from the residence and forced open the basement door. Amount of loss is $1,500.

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 1200 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 8/21/17 at 3:45 PM – A known person found a wallet and reported it to police. The officer contacted the owner who stated $140 was missing from the wallet.

Theft – 100 blk. Parkfield St. – 8/26/17 at 6:25 PM – Victim let a known person use her bathroom and then saw him exit out of her side door with her government ZTX phone and her iPhone SE. Amount of loss is unknown.

Burglary – 2300 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 8/27/17 at 3:45 PM – Officers responded to a burglary in progress call. While enroot to the call, officers saw 2 suspects matching the description given over the radio. Officers detained the suspects. The victim explained she saw 2 suspects lurking in her driveway. Then then started pounding on the door and she told them to leave they were not welcome. The suspect's reaction was to tell the victim they were coming and threw their bodies into the door. When that did not work, the victim stated one male pulled on a locked window trying to gain entry into her home. She then notified them she was calling the police. The suspects then left. The victim was taken to the 2 suspects were detained. She identified William Kelly and Brady Davoli as the two people trying to break into her home. Both were arrested and taken to the county jail.

Robbery – 1200 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 8/21/17 at 5:25 PM – An employee reported a black male came into the store and stated he was robbing the store and demanded all the money in the register. The employee handed over the money and the suspect fled the business. The suspect is described as medium to thin black male, 6'0-6'1", wearing a black jacket with the hood covering his head, dark color jeans, and a tattoo on his forehead. An unknown amount of cash was stolen.

Theft – Anglo Way & Highnote Way – between 8/22/17 at 5 PM and 8/23/17 at 1:24 PM – An employee from a service provider reported 150 feet of copper cable was stolen. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 1600 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 8/24/17 at 4 AM – Victim reported a known person took $23 and told him he no longer had the money but will pay him back later.

Knoxville (3001)

Burglary – 200 blk. Wilbur St. – between 8/10/17 at 10 AM and 8/21/17 at 4:30 AM – Victim reported coming home and discovering items were stolen. The items taken in the burglary are 50" Sanyo TV, 55" Hitachi TV, PlayStation 3 gaming console, 10– PlayStation 3 games, 3- PlayStation controllers, Ricon chainsaw, toolbox set, Roku digital streaming device, DeWalt drill set, pair of Timberland work boots, & set of fireworks. Total loss is about $2,648.

Burglary – 100 blk. Knox Ave. – between 9 AM and 12:13 PM on 8/21/17 – Victim reported she arrived home and found her door "kicked-in". The victim observed her two TVs (39" & 32" Vizio) and a Toshiba laptop had been stolen as well. Amount of loss is over $750.

Theft – 100 blk. Charles St. – between 8/8/17 at Noon and 8/11/17 at 3 PM – Victim reported an unauthorized transaction from her checking account. The amount of loss is $150.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Rochelle St. – between 8/23/17 at 4 PM and 8/24/17 at 11:28 AM – Victim reported his four Stihl weed wackers, 2 Echo blowers, a Stihl tree cutter saw extension, Honda mower, & Echo hedge cutter were stolen out of the bed of his pickup truck. Amount of loss is $3,675.

Robbery – Brownsville Rd. & Suncrest St. – between 8/25/17 at 5:30 PM and 8/25/17 at 5:31 PM – Victim reported a known person pulled out a black pistol and told him to give them all his money and cell phone with cell phone wallet (state ID in wallet). The Amount of loss is $740. The known person was a white male, brown curly hair, scruffy facial hair, and wearing a white tee shirt.

Burglary – 100 blk. Charles St. – between 8/19/17 at 1 PM and 8/26/17 at 9:30 AM – Property owner reported someone gain entry into his property by breaking a window. The suspect(s) then stole two 5 gallon buckets of white paint, a 5-gallon bucket of brown paint, 5 paint rollers, 2 paint brushes, a paint sprayer, and a small spotlight. Amount of loss is over $327.
