The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: August 7-13.

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Theft – 1700 blk. Grandview Ave. – between 8/1/17 at midnight and 8/7/17 at 8:45 PM – Victim reported the theft of his Ebel watch and diamond ring. Amount of loss is about $30,000.

Theft – 200 blk. Fingal St. – between 6/29/17 at midnight and 8/9/17 at midnight – Victim reported contracting a moving company to move property for him. According to the victim, the company has not delivered his property after several requests. Amount of loss is estimated at $35,000.

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft of property delivered – 100 blk. Haberman Ave. – between 9 AM and 5 PM on 8/9/17 – Victim reported a package was delivered to but when she arrived the items had been stolen. The items were a FabFitFun package and Dooney & Burke purse. Amount of loss is $400.

Burglary – 100 blk. Meridan St. – between 8/8/17 at 11:30 PM and 8/9/17 at 6 PM – Victim reported finding his copper pipes and water meter were stolen from his property after entry was made through a window. Amount of loss is unknown.

Theft – 300 blk. Bigham St. – between 6/21/17 at noon and 7/25/17 at noon – An owner of a local business reported the theft of approximately $30,000. The suspect is known to the owner.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Boggs Ave. – between 8/5/17 at 7:15 PM and 8/7/17 at 7:40 AM – Victim reported the contents of her vehicle were rifled through. There was no sign of forced entry and nothing appears to have been taken.

Burglary – 400 blk. Norton St. – 8/9/17 at 4:50 AM – Victim was awakened by a white male in her home. The suspect told her to shut up and to give him, her money. When the victim stated she did not have any the suspect grabbed a gold necklace and fled the home. Later, the victim observed her clothing was moved and more items were taken. Additional items were cash, cigarettes, and medication. Amount of loss is about $217.

Stolen vehicle – 200 blk. Maple Ter. – between 8/8/17 at 5:30 PM and 8/9/17 at 7 AM – Victim reported his rental vehicle (gray 2017 Nissan sedan with PA plate KKW5324) was stolen.

Theft from vehicle – 400 blk. Natchez St. – between 8/8/17 at 11 PM and 8/9/17 at 6:30 AM – Victim reported items were stolen from his vehicle. The items were gift cards and store cards. Amount of loss is unknown. There was no sign of forced entry.

South Shore (1921)

Theft – Smithfield St. Bridge & E. Carson St. – 8/7/17 at 3 PM – Victim reported his bicycle (Schwinn Circuit bike – red/black/silver/white) was stolen. Amount of loss is $330.

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 100 blk. W. Station Sq. Dr. – 8/8/17 at 3:30 PM – Victim lost his wallet and contents while in a massage chair. The Nautica leather wallet had cash, credit cards, and debit cards in it. Amount of loss is over $200.

Bon Air (1806) – NTR

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Aggravated assault – 2900 blk. Josephine St. – 8/10/17 at 7:20 PM – Victims reported a known person was throwing large rocks at them. An officer observed the rocks and corroborated the victim's statement. Dennis Habowski was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Theft of property delivered – 2600 blk. S. 18th St. – between 7/18/17 at 9 AM and 7/18/17 at 5 PM – Victim reported she had packages delivered that were taken from her porch. The amount of loss is $151.77.

South Side Flats (1609 & 1702)

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. S. 25th St. – between 8/11/17 at 7 PM and 8/12/17 at 9:30 AM – Victim reported someone had stolen a pair of Ray Ban aviator sunglasses from her vehicle. Amount of loss is $120.

Theft – 4600 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/13/17 at 7:40 PM – Business employee called to report a white male, 45-55 years old, bald head, large build, 5'8", 200 pounds, black Pirates tank top stole 5 ice cream items. Amount of los is $15.33.

Stolen vehicle – E. Carson St. & S.10th St. – between 12:01 AM and 3:30 AM on 8/6/17 – Victim reported her black 2011 Mercedes-Benz C4A sedan with PA plate KBX5457 was stolen from where she parked her vehicle.

Theft – 1100 blk. E. Carson St. - 8/6/17 at 1 AM – Victim reported her Coach wristlet was stolen from a local bar with her social security information, debit card, credit card, state ID, insurance cards, and cash. Amount of loss is over $120.

Theft from vehicle – 700 blk. E. Carson St. – between 7/1/17 at midnight and 8/8/17 at 10 AM – A worker reported a license plate (XJM9688) was stolen from this location. The plate belongs on a black 2015 Sure Trac utility trailer.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. S. 18th St. – 8/9/17 at 9:30 PM – Victim reported someone broke her rear driver side window and stole her purse. The Michael Kors purse had City ID, credit card, and debit card in it. Amount of loss is over $200.

Theft – 100 blk. S. 5th St. – between 8/8/17 at 7 PM and 8/9/17 at 3 AM – Victims had a Huffy and a Schwinn bike taken from their home by a known person. Amount of loss is $370.

Theft – 1900 blk. Sidney St. – between 1 AM and 8:30 AM on 8/11/17 – Victim reported her 52cm Diamondback Airen bike was stolen from her residence. Amount of loss is $600.

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 1800 blk. E. Carson St. – 8/12/17 at 2 AM – Victim reported he set his phone down on the bar counter at a local business and the phone (iPhone 7) was stolen. Amount of loss is $800.

Aggravated assault – S.15th St. & E. Carson St. – 8/13/17 at 2:05 AM – Officers were quelling a disturbance. A relative of one of the parties grabbed the officer's arm and lunged at the officer who was dealing with her relative. While the officers were obtaining information from the parties involved the female (Rickia Davenport) kneed an officer in his groin.

Theft – 100 blk. S. 12th St. – between 3 AM and 1 PM on 8/13/17 – Victim reported someone had taken his $350 Trek 3500 Mountain bike (gray).

Allentown (1803)

Burglary – 900 blk. Excelsior St. – between 8/7/17 at 7 PM and 8/8/17 at 1 PM – Victim reported someone forced entry through a door and stole the plumbing from the residence. The amount of loss is unknown.

Burglary – 700 blk. Carnival Way – between Midnight and 5:37 PM – Victim reported someone had entered his building and ripped his chain from his wall. Amount of damage is unknown.

Robbery – 800 blk. E. Warrington Ave – 8/13/17 at 11:25 AM – Officers responded to a robbery call at a local business. Upon arrival, the employee stated a black male (5'4", medium build, black hoodie, black pants, black gloves, black knit hat, & yellow bandana) approached her from behind and pointed a firearm into her back. The suspect had her lock the front door and to give him all the money from the register. The suspect then fled. Amount of loss is unknown.

Mount Oliver (1607)

Burglary – 400 blk. St. Joseph St. – 8/7/17 at 11:50 AM – Victim reported a neighbor reported seeing a relative at her home. The victim later found her 2 Emerson 32" flat screen TVs were stolen from her home. Loss is $250.

Burglary – 400 blk. Gorgas St. – between 8 AM and Noon on 8/7/17 – Victim reported forced entry into her home and her 43" Element TV and Droid table were taken. The amount of loss is $800.

Theft – 500 blk. St. Joseph St. – 8/9/17 at 5 PM – Victim heard his door bell ring and later found someone had taken his green lawn mower. The amount of loss is unknown.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft – 1900 blk. Westmont Ave. – between 10 AM and 10 PM on 8/7/17 – Victim reported someone stole her dog. Amount of loss is $100.

Burglary – 200 blk. W. Cherryhill St. – 8/12/17 at 3:45 PM – Landlord had an evicted known person return to her property and steal her keys to the building that were in a black leather pouch. Amount of loss is over $65.

Aggravated assault – 2000 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 8/14/17 at 1:05 AM – Victim saw a known person cursing and holding a box cutter with a red handle. The victim asked the suspect "what's up" and the suspect's response was to cut her arm with the box cutter. The suspect then fled. The suspect is a white male, 5'11", thin build, brown hair, scruffy facial hear, gray shirt, and blue jeans.

Theft from vehicle – 1700 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 8/8/17 at midnight and 8/10/17 at 3 PM – Victim reported his plate was stolen from his vehicle (PA plate - ZDL7199).

Theft – 2200 blk. Lutz Ave. – between midnight and 9 AM on 8/8/17 – Victim reported a pair of Husky 4 gauge 20 foot booster cables were taken from his porch. Amount of loss is $25.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Theft – 2700 blk. Library Rd. – between 5/28/17 at midnight and 5/30/17 at midnight – An employee for a service center had an Emission sticker stolen.

Burglary – 100 blk. Seldon Pl. – 8/12/17 at 8:40 PM – Officers responded to this location for a burglary in progress with 2 juveniles on scene. Upon arrival, the home owner explained he got a call that his home was being burglarized and the juveniles were still there. When he arrived the juveniles who stole the items were on scene. The juveniles were entered into the juvenile justice system. The victim is still missing 3 Kevlar vests, tools, and uniforms. Items that were recovered from the juveniles were returned to the victim. Amount of loss is $1,825.

St. Clair (1606) – NTR

Knoxville (3001)

Burglary – 100 blk. Charles St. – between 5 AM and 7 AM on 8/8/17 – Victim had cash and her Samsung Galaxy cell phone stolen from her home. Amount of loss is $590.

Theft of property delivered – 200 blk. Rochelle St. – between 8/5/17 at midnight and 8/7/17 at 5:58 AM – Victim reported having a tool set for a tractor trailer delivered to his home. The package was later stolen. Amount of loss is $179.09.

Stolen vehicle – between 8/10/17 at 8:15 PM and 8/11/17 at 8 AM – Victim reported his red 2005 Ford Mustang with PA plate HTY 4041 was stolen.

Burglary – 100 blk. Knox Ave. – between 4:30 PM and 9:10 PM on 8/12/17 – Victim reported forced entry to their home. The suspect(s) also stole a PlayStation 4 gaming console and Grand Theft Auto 5 game. Amount of loss is $410.

Aggravated assault/Robbery – Bausman St. – 8/7/17 at 2 AM – Officers responded to a report of a male who had been shot in the face. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the left side of his face. The victim explained he was approached from behind and ordered to give the suspect his money. The victim stated as he turned to face the male he was shot. The victim only could remember the suspect was a black male about 25 years old. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and listed in stable condition.
