South Watch will hear from Scrap the Trap head

August 8, 2017

The August South Watch meeting will take place at the Brashear Center, 2005 Sarah Street, this Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 6 p.m.

In addition to reports from the various city departments, there will be a presentation by Rebecca Reid, a wildlife expert and head of Scrap the Trap. She will focus on three areas: City of Pgh; its geography and how it relates to wildlife and potential wildlife conflicts; The role of inappropriate trash storage and littering in those conflicts; and, How to minimize/eradicate wildlife conflicts in a city neighborhood and why the current trap-and-kill system is counterproductive on every level.

Previous South Watch meeting agendas and minutes can be viewed at the South Side Community Council website: southsidecommunitycouncil.org.
