Man shot in Mt. Washington

Zone 3 Officers were sent to the 100 block of Kenova Street in Mt. Washington for a report that a man had been shot at 11:30 p.m. on June 14.

At the scene, a 24-year-old man was discovered inside a home where he went to call for help. According to police, the man was a passenger in a car. As they approached the intersection of Eureka and Pasadena streets, an unidentified male passenger got out of the car.

As the vehicle drove away, the exited passenger began shooting at the car. The victim was shot one time in the back. Paramedics transported him to UPMC Mercy where he remains in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a black male who is approximately 6'1", 180 pounds with shoulder length dreadlocks. He was wearing all black clothing.

The Pittsburgh Police Group Violence Intervention Unit will continue the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Police Headquarters at 412-323-7800.
