The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: May 22-28.

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Craighead St. – between 5/18/17 at 8 AM and 5/24/17 at 3:30 PM – Victim called to report her iPhone 6S was stolen from her center console in her vehicle. The victim thinks she may have left the car open.

Theft – 200 Ulysses St. – 5/22/17 at 1:22 AM – Victim reported a known person stole cash from his home. Amount of loss is $50.

Burglary – 200 blk. Virginia Ave. – between 5/22/17 at 6:30 PM and 5/23/17 at 6:20 AM – An employee called to report a burglary. The store front window was broken and money was taken from the business. The amount of loss is $95.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Southern Ave. – between 5/24/17 at midnight and 5/24/17 at 1:01 PM – Victim reported a suspect took cash and coins from his vehicle. The amount of loss is about $20.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Norton St. – between 5/23/17 at 9:30 PM and 5/24/17 at 7:15 AM – Victim called to report items stolen from her vehicle. The items were a Michael Kors cross body bag, Kate Spade wallet, state ID, credit cards, debit card, social security information, health insurance card, reward cards, Cartier ring, and prescription medication. Loss is over $3,500.

Stolen vehicle – 400 blk. Natchez St. – between 5/23/17 at 7:30 PM and 5/24/17 at 4:59 PM – Victim called to report her vehicle was stolen. The vehicle is a silver 2013 Hyundai Elantra with PA plate GZG6483.

Theft by deception – 100 blk. Bangor St. – 5/26/17 at 9:30 AM – A car service received a phone call asking the driver to change his account and password. The driver gave the information but later found the company did not call him and $87 was withdrawn from his company account.

Theft – West Liberty & Hargrove St. – 5/22/17 at 6:10 PM – Victim reported a known person took $40 out of her purse.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Aggravated assault – 2900 blk. Josephine St. - 5/22/17 at 10:05 PM – Victim reported his neighbor struck him in the head with a metal pole over a parking dispute. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Theft – 2100 blk. Mission St. - between 5/21/17 at 7 PM and 5/22/17 at 7:50 AM – Victim reported a suspect took his black and blue Fit BMX bicycle. Loss is $700.

Criminal Trespass – 100 blk. Eleanor St. - 5/24/17 at 2 PM – Victim called to report a known person entered his home without permission. The victim was at home when this occurred.

Criminal Trespass – 2400 blk. Cobden St. - 5/28/17 at 3:30 PM – A neighbor saw an unknown black female (suspect) enter their neighbor's home. The neighbor yelled at the suspect. The female then left. The suspect is described as a black female about 15-17 years old, and wearing a white shirt with blue jeans.

Theft from vehicle – 1600 blk. Conway St. - between 5/27/17 at 8 PM and 5/28/17 at 1:30 PM – An employee called to report a black box containing her employer's belongings was stolen out of her trunk. The items are used for the employee to complete her work. The amount of loss is unknown.

Theft from vehicle – 1700 blk. Marcus Way - 5/28/17 at 4 AM – Victims called to report both their cars had items stolen from them. Items stolen were coins and a Victoria Secret book bag. Amount of loss is $78.

South Side Flats (1609, 1702)

Theft from vehicle – 2500 blk. Carey Way – between 5/21/17 at 10 PM and 5/22/17 at 4 AM – Victim reported a suspect stole a utility knife with "JEEP" on it and a paint scraper. Amount of loss is $10. The victim believes he may have left the vehicle unlocked.

Robbery – S. 21st St. & Harcum Way - 5/22/17 at 11:15 PM – Victim reported a suspect came up from behind him and grabbed his shoulder and pushing a silver handgun into his ribs. The victim had been listening to music and did not hear the suspect approach. The suspect demanded the victim's money. The victim threw down his wallet and backed away only to have the suspect try and fire the gun. The victim explained he heard the gun "click" but it did not fire for an unknown reason. Meanwhile, a car drove by and the suspect took off running. The suspect is described at 18 to 25 years old, black male with brown complexion, medium build – 175 pounds, and wearing a black full ski mask, black zipper jacket, & brown pants. The victim stated nothing appears to have been taken.

Theft – 1400 blk. E. Carson St. - 5/23/17 at 11 PM – Victim reported while at a local bar watching the Penguins game a suspect stole items from her purse. Items are pink pepper spray, gold keys, pink "princess" key, Mazda all-in-one key, Credit cards, state ID, student ID, and another key ring. Amount of loss is unknown.

Stolen vehicle – 1100 blk. E. Carson St. - 5/24/17 at 11 PM – Victim reported her white 2007 Mercedes-Benz C280 with Ohio plate EYM9110 was stolen while it was parked in a parking lot. The victim explained she has both keys to the car.

Theft – 2500 blk. Wharton St. - between 5/24/17 at 6 PM and 5/25/17 at 1 PM – Victim called to report a suspect stole his red mountain bike. The amount of loss is unknown.

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 1100 blk. E. Carson St. - 5/26/17 at 1:45 AM – Victim called to report while "bar-hopping" in the South Side he lost his wallet, Samsung Galaxy S8, student ID, credit cards, debit card, cash, insurance card, and passport. Amount of loss is over $1,180.

Theft – 1400 blk. E. Carson St. - 5/27/17 at 1:30 PM – Victim called to report she was talking with a female when an unknown suspect took her purse. The victim explained the purse was on her chair at a local bar. Items stolen were a Coach handbag and wallet, cash, gift card, debit card, state ID, van keys, dog tags, & a diamond ring. Amount of loss is over $3,080.

Allentown (1803)

Burglary – 700 blk. Excelsior St. – between 5/25/17 at 11 AM and 5/26/17 at 7 PM – Victim reported a burglary. Entry was made thru a window. Items stolen were jewelry valued at $1,500.

Theft – 800 blk. E. Warrington Ave. – between 5/25/17 at 11 PM and 5/26/17 at 4 AM – Victim learned a known suspect had taken his wallet because he tried to use one of his credit cards at a local business. Other items were credit cards and cash. Amount of loss is over $60.

Theft – 600 blk. Industry St. – between 5/25/17 at 7 PM and 5/26/17 at 10 AM – Victim discovered a known person stole cash from his wallet. The loss is $100.

Theft – 200 blk. Walter St. – 5/28/17 at 1 AM – Victim called to report a known person took her car keys and house keys. Amount of loss is unknown.

Mount Oliver (1607)

Theft – 400 blk. St. Joseph St. - 5/26/17 at 11 PM – Victim reported a known person took her key from her wallet. Amount of loss is unknown.

Arlington (1603)

Theft – 2200 blk. Spring St. - 5/25/17 at 12:37 PM – Victim gave a known suspect access to an account. The known suspect then withdrew money from the account without permission. Loss is $400.

Arlington Heights (1604)

Beltzhoover (1809)

Stolen vehicle – 100 blk. Lafferty Ave. – between 5/27/17 at 11:30 PM and 5/28/17 at 7:31 PM – Victim reported his vehicle stolen. It is a silver (with a black stripe decal) 2008 Ford Mustang with PA plate KCA2365. Victim stated he had the keys for the vehicle.

Theft – 500 blk. Chalfont St. – between 5/27/17 at 1 PM and 5/28/17 at 10:30 AM – Victim reported the theft of a stainless steel propane gas grill. Amount of loss is unknown.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft by deception – 1800 blk. Fairland St. – between 5/21/17 at 8 AM and 5/23/17 at 7:20 PM – Victim called to report she made arrangements thru an "App" to buy a vehicle for $2,000 using gift cards. The victim then took pictures of the cards and receipt and emailed them to the other party. The victim never received the car.

Burglary – 100 blk. E. Agnew Ave. – between 5/12/17 at noon and 5/22/17 at 10 AM – An employee for a property management company called to report the hot water tank, boiler, and copper pipes were stolen from the rental property.

Aggravated assault – Birmingham Ave & Transverse Ave – 5/24/17 at 11:20 PM – Officers responded to a call with 2 people shot. Upon arrival, officers observed 2 people with a gunshot wound. The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Stolen vehicle – 2500 blk. Edgar St. – between 4/4/17 at 10 AM and 5/19/17 at 11 PM – Victim stated she has been away from home. When she returned she noticed her beige 2007 Cadillac CST with PA plate JXK0995 was stolen.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Merritt Ave. – between 5/21/17 at 7 PM and 5/22/17 at 5 PM – Victim reported items stolen from his vehicle. The items were music CDs, coins, framing gun, nail gun, Porter Cable combo kit, Garmin GPS, Canon digital camera, & a ServiceMaster meter with case. Amount of loss $2,181.

Burglary – 300 blk. Becks Run Rd. – 5/23/17 at 7:29 PM – Victim called to report a home burglary. The victim discovered video surveillance of the crime. A white male between 20 and 30 years old wearing blue jeans, black cap, and black tee shirt enters the home. The male then returns a few minutes later. Items stolen are a MacBook Pro laptop, 2 light fixtures, 2 TVs, stamps, and cash. Amount of loss is over $6,000.

Theft from vehicle – 100 blk. Merritt Ave. – between 5/26/17 at 10 PM and 5/27/17 at 6:17 PM – Victim reported social security information and credit cards were taken from his vehicle. He believes the vehicle may have been unlocked. Amount of loss is unknown.

Burglary – 2200 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 4/27/17 at 11 AM and 5/25/17 at 11 AM – Victim reported a home burglary. The victim returned home and observed entry was made thru a window. Items stolen were Curtis brand pots and lids, Depression glass dishes with candy jar, female clothing, hats, Bear Paw size 8 boots, Bear Paw scarf, silver ring, and silver necklace. Amount of loss is over $219.95.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Theft by deception – 2200 blk. Bernard St. – between 2/7/17 at noon and 5/23/17 at 3:14 PM – Victim's granddaughter called to report her grandmother was a victim of a scam. A caller told the victim she was the winner of Publisher's Clearing House 3 million dollar prize, and had to send money to claim her winnings. Later, another male called and told the victim he was investigating the scam and she was the winner of 5 million dollars, and again she had to send money to claim the prize. Amount of loss is over $12,100.

St. Clair (1606)

Knoxville (3001)

Burglary – 100 blk. Zara St. – between 5/13/17 at 11 AM and 5/23/17 at 10:21 AM – An employee called to report his company's building had the front and rear door "kicked-in". The doors were padlocked. Windows inside the home were broken as well. Amount of damage is unknown.

Theft – 400 blk. Daytona St. – between 5/23/17 at 9:30 AM and 5/23/17 at 4 PM – Victim reported her Acer computer scan disk with charger was stolen. Amount of loss is $150.

Theft – 100 blk. Redlyn St. – 5/23/17 at 11 AM – Victim answered her door and let a known suspect into her home. The suspect asked where to buy drugs and when the victim yelled at him he left. The victim later discovered $440 was taken from her home.

Theft from vehicle – 400 blk. Bausman St. – 5/24/17 at 5:30 PM – Victim observed a black male between 16 to 26 years old inside of her vehicle. The male stole black Versace sunglasses. Amount of loss is $200.

Burglary – 100 blk. Orchard Pl. – 5/26/17 at 4 AM – Officers responded to an alarm call. Upon arrival, officers found a broken window and contact was made with the home owner. The home was cleared. No one was inside but the home owner stated there were signs entry into the home had occurred. Amount of damage is unknown.

Theft of property lost or mislaid – 200 blk. Rochelle St. – 5/25/17 at 10 PM – Victim called to report she set her black clutch purse down and when she went to get it, it was gone. Items taken were state ID, debit card, credit cards, health cards, club cards, & old state ID. Amount of loss is over $75.

Theft – 600 blk. Maytide St. – between 5/22/17 at 1:30 PM and 5/22/17 at 6 PM – Victim called to report someone had stolen her lawn lights, ceramic flower pots, faux flowers, & metal stands. Amount of loss is $355.
