Man grazed by bullet while inside Knoxville living room

At close to 11:30 p.m. on October 17, Zone 3 police officers were sent to the 200 block of Mathews Avenue for report of a male grazed in the head by a bullet.

According to police, a 43-year-old man was in a home with two adult women and a three-year-old girl. All four people were in the living room when someone fired three shots into the home.

One of the bullets came through the home and grazed the man in the head. A man outside in a gray sweatshirt was seen, but it was unknown if he was the one shooting.

The male victim was taken to UPMC Mercy by paramedics in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
