I Made It! Market at SSWorks

 


I Made It! Market, the city’s nomadic indie craft marketplace, will pop into the SouthSide Works July 8 - 10 for the 12th Annual SouthSide Works “Exposed” Artists Market.

This event features 70 local artisans, runs for three days, and includes live music and entertainers throughout each day, activities for kids, a sidewalk sale offering great deals from SSW tenants and a variety of food vendors.

Artists include:

Abandoned Pittsburgh: Abandoned Pittsburgh is an ongoing photography project documenting the Steel City’s industrial past. Items for sale include prints, books, and more.

Sorcery Science: Structure jewelry, perodic table quilts, laser cut chess boards and other unique items.

Steel City Cotton Works: Pittsburgh themed T Shirts.

Whimsical Wonders: Wind chimes, jewelry and accessories made from vintage silverwares, as well as hip and stylish lamps made from musical instruments, silver plated serving pieces among other treasures.

Louson Drums: Custom cajón drums.

Live music and entertainment:

Friday, July 8 from 5-11 p.m. Tres Lads and Bastard Bearded Irishmen; Saturday, July 9 from noon - 11 p.m. entertainment includes: Shelly Duff, The Delaney’s, Lyndsey Smith & Soul Distribution, Kierra Darshell & Drag Performers and closing out the night is No Bad JuJu;

On Sunday, July 10 they will celebrate Kids Day with live animals, a magic show, kids zumba and Kelsey Frida and the Rest of the Week Band.

The SouthSide Works parking lots are located surrounding the town square. Parking is free for the first hour and $3 after from 4 p.m. on Friday and throughout the weekend.

The I Made It! Market creates events with a two-fold mission in mind. Their goal is to provide the opportunity for regional craftspeople to establish small businesses. Additionally, partner with non-profit, arts, and community groups to raise awareness and sometimes funds for their causes.
