Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 255/16 on Thursday, June 23 at 9:10 a.m. is the appeal of Grace Street Development, LLC, owner, and Synergy Capital, LP, applicant, for Grace Street, parcels 4-J-38, 61, 63, 64, 66 in the 19th Ward (Zoning District P and open space).

Applicant requests to construct nine new three-story single-family detached dwellings with integral parking.

Variances: 905.01.C.2: Minimum 30’ front setback required and 5’, 10’ and 15’ requested; Minimum 32,000 sq. ft. lot size permitted and 2,800 sq. ft. requested; Minimum 20’ exterior side setback required and 3; requested (unit 1); Minimum 5’ interior side setback required and 0’ requested.

Zone case 220/16 on Thursday, June 23 at 9:40 a.m. is the appeal of the City of Pittsburgh, owner, and Sign Pro, applicant, for 400 Brownsville Road in the 30th Ward (Zoning District LNC).

Applicant requests to erect one 15’ high ground identification sign with LED lettering at front of existing library.

Variances: 919.03.O.3: Electronic non-advertising signs are not permitted in LNC zoning district.
