South Side Community Council's open meeting, elections on June 20

 


The South Side Community Council will hold an open meeting for neighborhood residents on Monday, June 20, 6:30 p.m. at the Brashear Center, 2005 Sarah Street.

The agenda will include discussion on the re-focus of the Community Council as a resident-led organization working to improve the quality of life on South Side. There will be a presentation on the SSCC’s recent accomplishments, goals for the future and why resident support and involvement is important.

At the meeting, there will also be an election of new board members. South Side residents will also be recruited to volunteer to assist the organization as they work to bring positive change to the neighborhood.

The evening will also include special acknowledgement of two special South Side residents, Virginia Carik and the late Roberta Stackawitz.
