South Side Art Crawl this Saturday, June 18

South Side is often the venue for various “crawls” along East Carson Street, but this Saturday, June 18, it will feature an Art Crawl with close to 50 venues, 250 local artists and 30 live bands.

Chris Boles, founder and creative director of Redfishbowl Productions of Pittsburgh, will present the 2016 South Side Art Crawl on Saturday, June 18th from 3 p.m. to midnight. The art crawl will span South Side’s Historic East Carson Street from S. 9th to S. 25th Streets and include selected adjacent street locations.

Some visual artists will paint at selected venues and others will hang their artwork at the event. Many popular Greater Pittsburgh and some out-of-state bands will perform a wide variety of music, including jazz, jam, rock and hip-hop.

Utilizing a common thread of art and music, the art crawl is designed to promote the arts, artists and businesses on South Side by offering a broad spectrum of vibrant artwork and innate talent at one event. Mr. Boles envisions the art crawl revitalizing and supporting the arts on South Side by bringing art and talent together for everyone to enjoy.

Art crawl flyers and participating venue lists are available at the South Side Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center, 1100 East Carson Street, and at Delanie’s Coffee, 1737 East Carson Street.
