Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 150/16 on Thursday, June 2 at 10:20 a.m. is the appeal of Michael T. Roth, owner and applicant, for 1017 Grandview Avenue in the 19th Ward (Zoning District GPR-A).

Applicant requests second level 18’x8’ front deck for single-family dwelling.

Variances: 925.06.A.14.1: Deck cannot extend above the first floor.

Zone case 100/16 on Thursday, June 2 (continued from March 31) at 10:40 a.m. is the appeal of Gary Geiger, owner and applicant, for 2736 Mission Street in the 16th Ward (Zoning District R1D-H).

Applicant requests two new 3-story single-family attached dwellings with integral parking, front terraces and rear decks.

Variances: 903.03.D.2: Minimum 1,800 sq. ft. lot size permitted and 1,320 sq. ft. requested (lot 2); Minimum 15’ front setback required and 11’ requested (lot 1); Minimum 15’ rear setback required and 13’ requested (lot 2); Minimum 5’ interior side setback required and 0’ (dwellings, terraces) requested, 4’ (deck 1).

Zone case 232/16 on Thursday, June 16 at 9:50 a.m. is the appeal of NI Properties, owners and applicants, for 127 Craighead Street in the 18th Ward (Zoning District R2-H).

Applicant requests continued use of structure as multi-unit residential with nine dwelling units and use of 2,150 sq. ft. of first floor as an office (limited).

Special Exception: 921.02.A.1: Expansion of a nonconforming use is a Special Exception.
