The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: May 9, 2016 thru May 16, 2016.

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft from Vehicle – 800 blk. Southern Ave. – between 5/11 at 9:00 PM and 5/12 at 6:32 AM – Victim states she discovered her car had been broken into. Taken was $7 in coins from the console. It is not known if her car had been locked.

South Shore (1921)

South Side Flats (1609, 1702)

Theft from Auto – 2300 Blk. Sidney St. – 5/9 – Overnight hours – Victim states an unknown actor entered her unlocked silver Kia Sorento and stole $5 - $10 in quarters. Actor also removed the fuse box cover. Other items of value (GPS, sunglasses) were not taken.

Theft from Auto – 1700 Blk. South Shore Ct. – 5/9 – Overnight hours – Victim states an unknown actor entered his unlocked red Honda Accord and stole $20 in change and an I-Phone 6. Phone tracked to the Zone 2 area.

Burglary-Business – 1300 E. Carson St. – 5/9 – 8:53pm – Officers responded to a 911 call that an actor broke out the front window of this business and was taking jewelry. Two good Samaritans videotaped and then detained the actor until police arrived. No merchandise was found on the actor. 62 year old black male, Norman Echols, was arrested and further charged with terroristic threats after threatening that he would kill all the officers.

Theft from Auto – 2000 Blk. Jane St. – 5/8 - 5/9 – 9:15am – Victim states that an unknown actor went into her gray Toyota Corolla and stole $5 of change. There were no signs of forced entry.

Robbery – Strong Arm Business – 1600 Blk. E. Carson St. – 5/9 – 1:55pm – Victims stated that an intoxicated male entered the store and asked to see a few rings. Actor then told the victim he had a gun. Actor left the store with the 2 rings valued at about $100. Suspect is a black male in his 50's wearing a Rastafarian style skull cap, dark brown jacket, dark blue-gray pants, and black shoes.

Theft from Vehicle – 26th and Sidney St. – 5/13 between 12:45 PM and 2:15 PM – Victim states someone had gone through her car while it had been parked. Missing is a $25 Target gift card. No signs of forced entry.

Stolen Auto – 2400 blk. E. Carson St. – 5/14 between 1:05 AM and 1:08 AM – Victim had parked his car, left it running and went into the store. It was taken while he was inside. PA plate JGR2819, brown Chevrolet Blazer.

Theft from Vehicle – 1300 blk. Sarah St. – between 5/9 at 9:00 PM and 5/10 at 6:30 AM – Victim states he car had been broken into. Taken was an Apple Macbook Pro laptop which belonged to her employer and $15. Unknown total value.

Robbery – E. Carson and 10th Sts. – 5/11 between 4:20 PM and 4:32 PM – Victim states a known suspect approached him and grabbed $20 from his pocket. The suspect threw the victim to the ground where he kicked the victim in the mouth. The suspect was still on scene when police arrived. He was arrested and taken to the county jail. The money was returned to the victim. Arrested was Dwight Briggs of 9th St.

Theft from Person – 50 blk. S. 19th St. – between 4/29 and 5/11 – Victim discovered multiple pieces of jewelry were taken from the residence. Taken were three rings, diamond earrings, diamond tennis bracelet, diamond necklace and two state quarter books. Total value at this time is $620.

Aggravated Assault – S. 14th and E. Carson Sts. – 5/14 between 2:30 AM and 2:35 AM – Victim states he had gotten into an argument with the suspect. In the course of the argument, the suspect slashed the victim causing lacerations to the victim’s forearms and right hand. The suspect fled the scene.

Robbery/Aggravated Assault/Criminal Conspiracy – 110 blk. E. Carson St. – 5/14 between 2:20 and 2:26 – As the victim was walking to his parked car, he was approached by three WM suspects and one BM suspect. They told the victim to come with them. Not knowing the suspects, the victim felt he was going to be robbed and ran to the street to try to stop a car for help. The suspects pushed him to the ground and the BM suspect stood over him, pushing him to the sidewalk and took his wallet. It contained $200. The suspects fled the scene. Communications gave two suspect vehicles descriptions. One vehicle was stopped by officers. A positive ID was made on the three WM suspects who were then taken to jail. The victim did sustain an injury to his hip when he was pushed to the ground. Arrested were 24 y.o.Jon Logan David Loncaric from 13th St. in Sharpsburg, 25 y.o. Dalton Christopher Diogati from Manhatten Dr. and 24 y.o. Julian Salerno from Linden Ave, both from Pittsburgh.

Theft from Person – 200 blk. E. Carson St. – 5/11 between 1100 AM and 4:00 PM – Victim states he set his cellphone on the counter unattended. He realized someone had taken it. Value $700.

Bon Air (1806)

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Burglary/Theft from Auto – 1900 Blk. Josephine St. – 5/9 – Overnight hours – Victim states that his unlocked Acura TSX was broken into and the actor used the garage door opener to open his garage. His unlocked Jeep Grand Cherokee was then broken into and $1 in change was taken.

Theft from Vehicle – 20 blk. Kosciusko Way - 5/9 between 4:00 AM and 9:00AM – Victim states someone broke into her car and took sunglasses and $2 in change. No forced entry to the vehicle and unknown if the car had been locked.

Burglary – 2800 blk. Mary St. – between 3/1 and 5/15 at 3:07 PM – Victim states someone broke into the garage and took a Myers snow plow and a Airflo 8 ft. salt spreader. Total value $7680.

Allentown (1803)

Burglary – Residence – 500 Blk. Arlington Ave. – between 5/6 - 5/9 – Landlord reports that he noticed the apartment of a recently deceased resident open and discovered a TV and two air conditioners missing. Landlord states the resident had no next of kin.

Mount Oliver (1607)

Theft from Person – 600 blk. Ottilia St. – between 5/14 at 9:30 PM and 5/15 at 9:00 AM – Victim states someone took the registration plate from his car.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Burglary – Residence – 1900 Blk. Lucina Ave. – 5/9 between 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM – Victim states a side bedroom window was open and the garage door was unlocked when they arrived at the home. A TV, home sound system and PlayStation were taken.

Theft from Business – Wynoka St. – 5/7 – 5/7 – Victim states that a resident admitted to taking a 50” Sony flat screen TV. Actor admitted to taking the TV via text to sell for drug money.

Theft of Vehicle – 2200 Blk. Dellrose St. – 5/9 – 1:00 – 3:00 pm - The victim states he parked his white, 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, bearing PA registration HFT-2448 and left it unlocked, leaving the keys on the driver’s side floor board. An unknown actor stole his vehicle. Victim stated there was approximately $800 worth of hand tools in the cargo area of his vehicle.

Burglary (business) – 1900 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 5/8 at 5:00 PM and 5/10 at 4:00 PM – The reporting person states copper pipe was removed from the building after it was broken into. A side door had been found ajar. There is an alarm system. Estimate replacement of the pipe is $6400.

Robbery – 1900 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 5/14 at 9:15 PM – Victim states she met up with a friend she had known in high school. They went to a bar and when the victim went to pay for drinks the suspect grabbed all of her money from her hand. Total value $360. Officer will obtain a warrant for the suspect.

Theft from Person – 2600 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 5/11 at 8:45 PM – Victim states she placed her wallet on the counter and briefly looked away from it. When she looked back, the wallet was gone. Inside the wallet were a social security card, driver’s license, a debit card and $260.

Theft from Business – 2600 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 4/26 and 5/11 – Victim states the suspect, an employee filed to record a cash deposit made by a customer for ordering glasses. The suspect was confronted and fired. $150 loss.

Robbery/Aggravated Assault/Simple Assault/Criminal Conspiracy – 20 blk. Carrick Ave. - 5/13 between 4:40 PM and 4:46 PM – Victim states he received a call from a known suspect asking him for a ride. He picked up the suspect along with two other suspects. He drove to a parking lot where he was struck in the head with a pistol by one of the rear seated suspects. Another suspect grabbed $500 out of the center console. Suspects fled on foot.

Mt. Washington (1903)

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Burglary – 300 blk. Morton St. – 5/11 between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM – Victim discovered someone had gotten into his residence through an unlocked rear door. Stolen was a combination safe which contained a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, a Ruger 9mm pistol, $2000 in cash, and a gold Mt. Lebanon class ring. Total value $3700.

St. Clair (1606)

Aggravated Assault/Recklessly Endangering Another Person/Simple Assault – 700 Fisher St. – 5/15 between 12:07 AM and 12:29 AM – A known suspect assaulted one victim with a glass bottle by striking her in the head. The second victim had a minor injury due to attempting to get the bottle from the suspect. The suspect, Janelle Davis of William St. in Mt. Oliver was taken into custody and transported to the Allegheny County jail.

Knoxville (3001)

Burglary – 100 blk. Moore Ave – between 4/11 and 4/12 – Victim states his apartment was broken into while he was incarcerated. A witness saw the suspect leaving the apartment on 4/12. Missing is an Apple Ipad, jewelry, and two prescriptions. Total value $1125.

Theft from Vehicle/Criminal Mischief – 400 blk. Orchard Pl. – 5/11 between 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM – Victim had parked her car in her driveway and discovered a smashed window and $100 missing. A witness saw two juvenile suspects.

Stolen Auto – Brownsville Rd at Suncrest St. – 5/11 between 8:56 PM and 8:57 PM – Victim states her car wouldn’t start. It was jumped and was driven to the McDonald’s lot and left running while she went inside. When she came back out, she saw the car being driven out of the lot by the suspect. PA plate HYN8419, dark green 199 Lexus.

Theft from Person – 300 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 5/12 between 2:00 PM and 2:45 PM – Victim states an unknown suspect took her cellphone. Value $300.

Criminal Trespass – 500 blk. Brownsville Rd. – between 5/12 at 11:00 AM and 5/14 at 10:10 AM – Reporting person states she regularly check the property of the owner. She discovered forced entry to the front door. Some things inside the residence had been moved around indicating someone had gotten inside. Nothing was observed to be missing at this time.
