The following are the Part I crimes for the week of:

May 2, 2016 thru May 9, 2016.

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Theft from Vehicle – 500 blk. Sweet Briar St. – between 5/1 at 10:00 PM and 5/2 at 8:00 AM – Victims states someone entered into her unlocked car and took $25, the registration and insurance card.

Theft from Vehicle – 200 blk. Shaler St. – between 5/1 at 8:00 PM and 5/2 at 11:00 AM – Victim states someone went into his car and took $20, a Garmin GPS, and misc. CD’s. It is unknown if the vehicle had been left unlocked.

Theft from Vehicle – 300 blk. Shaler St. – between 5/1 at 8:00 PM and 5/2 at 7:00 AM – The victim was unsure her car was locked when someone entered it and took $5 in change. No sign of forced entry damage.

Theft from Vehicle – 300 blk. Shaler St. – between 5/1 at 10:00 PM and 5/2 at 8:00 AM – Victim states he had left his car door unlocked and someone took an unknown amount of change. No damage was observed on the car.

Theft from Vehicle – 300 Blk. Fingal St. – 5/7 – Overnight hours – Victim reports that an unknown actor made entry into his vehicle and stole a $150 pair of Ray- Ban sunglasses. Victim believes vehicle was unlocked. No sign of forced entry.

Theft from Vehicle – 300 Blk. Fingal St. – 5/7 – Overnight hours – Victim reports that an unknown actor made entry into her vehicle and stole a $150 Vera Bradley bag and $120 Ionic shoes. Victim believes vehicle was unlocked.

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft from Vehicle – 60 Blk. Dilworth St. – 5/2 – 11:52pm – Victim states that actors made entry into his unlocked vehicle and stole a firearm from the glove box.

Firearm is a Taurus PT709 9mm with serial #TJM48854, black, loaded with an additional 7 rounds in the magazine. Actors were captured on video as two teenaged black males, one with a black hoodie and one with a gray hoodie.

South Shore (1921)

Southside Flats (1609, 1702)

Theft from Vehicle/Criminal Mischief – S. 26th and Sidney St’s. – 4/28 between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM – Victim states he found the rear window of his truck was broken. Access was gained into the cab of the truck and various tools were taken. Unknown total value.

Robbery – 400 blk. S. 27th St. – 5/3 at 6:00 PM – Reporting person states the suspect came into the store and acted as if he was going to purchase 7 Reebok Pens jerseys. He took them to the counter and then ran grabbing the shirts and fleeing the store. The employee attempted to stop him to which he was forcefully pushed. Total Value $1325.

Aggravated Assault – 50 blk. S. 15th St. – 5/2 between 12:04 AM and 1:40 AM – Victim states he saw a male pulling a female by her arm with the female screaming for help. The victim intervened and confronted the suspect. The suspect pushed the victim to which they began to fight. During the fight, the victim’s head went through a glass window which he received a laceration to his head.

Theft from Vehicle – 16th and Bingham St’s. – 5/3 between 11:30 AM and 1:45 PM – Victim states he was sure his car was locked when he had parked it, however when he returned to it, he noticed his door was open and his wallet was missing from the center console. Inside the wallet were various credit cards, driver’s license, social security card and $50.

Theft by Deception – 1900 blk. St. Paul St. – between 2/1/15 and 5/3/16 – Victim states two female suspects who lived next door to her told her she was being accused of child molestation. They said unless she gave money to them to give to an officer, the charges would go away. Total amount of money given to the suspects was $90,140.

Theft from Auto – Larkins Way @ S. 22nd St. – 5/7 – Overnight hours – Victim accidentally left his vehicle unlocked. He returned to find the fuse box cover off and GPS unit, $20 and sunglasses missing.

Theft from Business – 400 Blk. S. 27th St. – 5/3 – 5:25pm – Store reports a pair of $345 Persol sunglasses were taken. Video shows actor to be white male, 25-35 years old, 5’ 9”, 180’, with short, dark hair.

Theft from Auto – 90 Blk. S. 20th St. – 5/4 – Evening hours – Victim states that an unknown actor entered her unlocked vehicle and stole an I-pod, $10, backpack and various clothing.

Business Burglary – 1600 Blk. E. Carson St. – 5/5 – 3:00am – Passerby reported glass broken out of business. Owner arrived and found several jewelry pendants missing of unknown value. No suspects at this time.

Theft from Auto – 1800 Blk. Mary St. – 5/6 – 10:00am – Victim states she travelled to numerous locations the day before and just now discovered items missing from her vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry, but victim states she does have keyless entry. Items valued at approximately $2400 and included ladies Tori Birch and Kate Spade bags, Mac Book Pro, Beats headphones and personal paperwork.

Theft from Business – 1900 Blk. E. Carson St. – 5/7 – 3:30 pm – Business reports approximately $70 in merchandise, including ear buds and car charger, were taken from the store. Officers later found and arrested Michael Boorich, white male, 24 years old, for the theft after positively being identified and resisting officers attempts to take him into custody.

Bon Air (1806)

Stolen Auto – 700 blk. Ensign Ave. – 5/2 between 8:50 AM and 9:00 AM – Victim states his car was stolen from the lot. PA plate JPV5662, 2001 light blue mini- van Chrysler.

Theft from Auto – 400 Blk. Drycove St. – 5/3 – 5/4 – Victim reports that someone had gone through her vehicle, a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe pick-up truck, but nothing was missing. Possible video of the suspect unavailable at this time.

Theft from Auto – 400 Blk. Drycove St. – 5/4 – 5:00 – 10:00pm – Victim reports that someone had gone through his vehicle, a 2006 Chevy Silverado, but nothing was missing. Evidence was collected and sent for processing.

Theft from Auto – 300 Blk. Camfield St. – 5/4 – 6:00 – 10:00pm – Victim reports that $3 in change in a Tupperware container were taken from his unlocked vehicle, a 2015 Dodge Ram. Possible suspects are two thin teenaged black males, one with a gray sweatshirt, the other with a black sweatshirt.

Theft from Auto – 200 Blk. Institute St. – 5/5 – Overnight hours – Victim states unknown actors made entry into her vehicle, a 2015 Chevy Cruz, and took 48 CD’s and $5. No signs of forced entry, victim unsure if vehicle was locked.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Theft from Residence – 2800 Blk. Mary St. - 5/5 - Victim reports that a known actor stole multiple items from her residence while she was not living in it since February. Approximate value of $2200, including a television and other electronics.

Theft from Auto – 20 Blk. Greeley St. – 5/5 – Overnight hours – Victim reports that an unknown actor stole their wallet containing credit, debit, AAA cards an driver’s license along with a $50 gift card. There were no signs of forced entry.

Allentown (1803)

Theft from Vehicle/Criminal mischief – 900 blk. Manton Way – 5/2 – Victim states he discovered his car had been broken into. He discovered his car alarm no longer worked due to the vehicle being broken into.

Burglary-Residence – 200 Blk. Millbridge St. – 5/5 – Victim states that over the past few days, items have gone missing from her residence. There are no signs of forced entry. Victim states neighbor does not lock front access door. Missing are an Xbox, I-pad and Play Station 4 controller valued at approximately $700. Actor may be known.

Criminal Trespass – Residence – 1000 Blk. E. Warrington Ave. – 5/5 – Victim states that her ex-roommate broke into the residence to collect her belongings. Damage to rear lock and chain; unknown amount. Actor texted victim that she was going in the house.

Criminal Trespass – Residence – 600 Blk. Eureka St. – 5/6 – 8:45pm - Victim woke to hear commotion in the basement, only to find two unknown persons there who had entered through the unlocked broken basement door. Nothing was taken. Actors fled. Actors are a black male, 15-18 years old, 5’7”, thin build wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and a possible a black female, 15-18 years old, thin build, 5’7”, red hoodie and long braids.

Theft from Business – 700 Blk. E. Warrington Ave. – 5/8 – Two suspects filled shopping carts and left out the front doors of the business. Unknown dollar amount for the items. Actors are a black male in blue jeans and a blue jacket and another black male with blue jeans and a black shirt. Actors left in a blue sedan, no further description.

Mount Oliver (1607)

Arlington (1603)

Theft from Person – 2000 Blk. Spring St. – 5/7 – Victim reported that his ex-girlfriend stole his cell phone and left the residence.

Arlington Heights (1604)

Aggravated Assault – 3000 Blk. Arlington Ave. – 5/8 – 7:45am - Officers responded to a violent domestic at this location. Male actor was irate and uncooperative with officers and said they would have to shoot him. Actor picked up and attempted to throw a large stone at one of the officers and was subsequently taken into custody after a brief struggle.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Burglary – 20 blk. Minooka St. – between 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM – Victim states she left her house and had locked her doors. When she arrived home later, the doors were still locked but her television was missing. No sign of forced entry. Value $300.

Burglary – Residence – 100 Blk. Parkfield St. – 5/4 - 4:00-10:00pm – Victim found his front door forcibly entered and items missing from his ransacked apartment.

Items stolen included $250 in cash, 2 gold and diamond watches, 24” Figaro necklace and 1 silver bracelet. Suspect is victim’s ex-girlfriend who stated before she left that she would break into his apartment.

Theft from Person – 1100 Blk. Brownsville Rd. – 5/4 – 6:30pm – Victim states she believes her friend took her wallet from her purse upon leaving the residence. Taken were $20, PA driver’s license and EBT card.

Theft from Person – 1900 Blk. Fairland St. – 2/29 - 5/7 – Victim states that while she was out of town for an extended period, an unknown actor cut the chain on her generator and stole her red and black Honda Generator Model EU2000i Serial

#2097856 18 inches by 18 inches 100lbs. No suspects at this time.

Theft from Residence – 1600 Blk. Leolyn St., - 5/2 – 3:00am – 7:00am – Victim states that she let a known actor sleep over at her house and when she woke in the morning the actor and her 47” Vizio flat screen TV were gone. Investigation on-going.

Burglary – Residence – 100 Blk. Kirk Ave. – 5/7 6:30 – 10:15pm – Victims state that they returned to their home to find it broken into through a back window and locks were locked that they had left open. Missing were approximately $200 in loose change, black and aqua colored Victoria’s Secret “Pink” underwear and a snow globe. Suspect being investigated at this time.

Mt. Washington (1903)

Theft from Vehicle – 200 blk. Labelle St. – between 5/1 at 8:00 PM and 5/2 at 7:00 PM – Victim states she had locked her car when she had parked it. She discovered someone had broken into it and took $20. No signs of forced entry damage.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Theft from Person – 2400 Blk. Norbert St. – 5/6 – 8:00am – Officers responded to the possible theft of 1 Clonazepam 0.5 mg tablet that was missing from a patient’s medications. This was possibly a clerical error. Employee was suspended pending an internal investigation.

St. Clair (1606)

Knoxville (3001)

Aggravated Assault – 100 Blk. Rochelle St. – 5/5 – 8:00 pm – Officers responded to a street fight involving a baseball bat. Victim related that an intoxicated and known actor had struck her in the arm with an aluminum baseball bat. Officers made contact with the actor and found the bat matching the victim’s description. Actor Regina Beck-Jordan, 51 year old black female, was taken into custody. Victim was treated and released on scene.

Robbery – Strong Arm Person – Amanda St. @ Rochelle St. – 5/1 – 10pm

On 5/5 the victim reported that he was robbed on 5/1 of his 5 or 6 Oxycodone pills. Victim stated that a younger black male, taller than 5'6, wearing a long-sleeved hooded sweatshirt that covered his face, arms and hands entered his vehicle holding a black gun and stated “give me all your stuff.” Actor then went in the glove box and took these pills.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Robbery – E. Warrington at Haberman Ave’s. – 4/30 between 7:00 PM and 7:10 PM – Victims states he was walking when he was approached by Suspect #1 who asked him for a cigarette. Suspect #2 then grabbed him by the waist, holding a gun in his hand and told him to give them his stuff. Suspect #1 took items from the victim’s pocket. Taken was a wallet containing $50, and various ID cards.

Suspect #1 is a BM between 20 and 30 years old, stocky build, 170’, 5’7”, mustache, wearing a black/blue hoodie sweatshirt, and a black skull cap.

Suspect #2 is a light skinned BM, 20-25 years old, 160’, 5’11”, thin build.

Theft from Person- Vehicle – 500 Blk. Industry St. – 5/2 – Victim reports that her vehicle was stolen by unknown persons on 4/28. Vehicle is a black 2014 Kia Sorento, PA plate JXR-4158. No suspects or signs of forced entry at this time.

Aggravated Assault – 200 Blk. Freeland St. – 5/3 – 3:00am – Officers responded to Mercy hospital for a domestic violence report. Victim reports that her intimate partner assaulted her violently and she lost consciousness from being choked. Officers to obtain warrant for known actor.

Burglary – Residence – 400 Blk. Freeland St. – 4/28 - 5/7 – Victim states that $3500 in tools was taken from a secured garage. A red and gray 5 drawer roller with a 14 drawer top box and a silver and red Craftsman 8 drawer box, both with tools, were taken. No suspects at this time.
