CHS recognized with state citation

 

Gaetano Sanchioli receives a citation from the state House of Representatives recognizing Carrick High School for providing a safe environment for student athletes.

State Representative Harry Readshaw recently recognized Pittsburgh Carrick High School for receiving the National Athletic Trainers' Association Safe Sports School Award.

The award acknowledges Carrick High School (CHS) has provided a safe environment for student athletes and met criteria such as creating a positive athletic health care administrative system, provided or coordinated pre-participation physical examinations and provided a permanent appropriately equipped area for to evaluate and treat injuries.

In presenting a Citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Mr. Readshaw recognized Gaetano Sanchioli, the on-site licensed athletic trainer who has worked to "provide state-of-the-art methods for the prevention of injuries, outstanding care, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries."
