Citiparks Farmers' Markets will return beginning May 6

 


The main opening of the first four of seven Citiparks Farmers’ Markets will be the week of May. Three additional markets will open in June.

The hours for the markets, and the charges for farmers and other vendors, will remain the same this year as they were in 2015. Additionally, three new markets will open in June.

Citiparks Farmers’ Markets opening in May are:

Friday, May 6, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m .: Mellon Square Park at Mother’s Day Special;

Monday, May 9, from 3-7 p.m .: East Liberty at Station St. and N. Euclid Ave.;

Tuesday, May 10, 3-7 p.m .: South Side at 18th and Carson streets .; and,

Friday, May 13, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m .: Downtown Pittsburgh at Mellon Square Park, Smithfield St. and Sixth Ave .; and 3-7 p.m .: North Side at East Park, E. Ohio St. and Cedar Ave.

Three additional Citiparks Farmers’ Markets will open in June:

Sunday, June 5, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m .: Squirrel Hill at Beacon/Bartlett parking lot near Murray Ave.;

Wednesday, June 8, 3-7 p.m., Carrick at Carrick Dairy District, 1529 Brownsville Road; and,

Thursday, June 9, 3-7 p.m., Beechview at Broadway and Beechview Avenue.

All markets will sell farm-fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheese and baked goods, while several locations will also sell flowers, small gifts and gardening items.
