The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: March 14, 2016 thru March 20, 2016.

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Theft from Person – 400 blk. Augusta St. – 3/19 at 2:56 AM – Victim states someone took 20 pills from a prescription bottle. There was only one other person inside her residence besides herself, however she refused to say who that friend/suspect was.

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft from Vehicle – 100 blk. Kathleen St. – 3/16 between 3:00 AM and 8:00 AM – Victim states he had left his car unlocked and discovered his cellphone missing from the center console. Value $400.

Theft from Vehicle – 100 blk. Kathleen St. – between 3/16 at 6:00 PM and 3/17 at 8:30 AM – Victim states someone entered into her vehicle and took a key, gas card and $7 cash.

Theft from Vehicle – 400 blk. Kathleen St. – 3/17 between 1:00 AM and 10:00 AM – Victim states someone entered in her car and took a small plastic bag containing approximately $15 in change and $150 from a wallet that was in the glove compartment.

Theft from Person – 400 Grandview Ave. – 3/17 between 9:50 PM and 10:00 PM – Victim states she wasn’t feeling well and fell asleep on the bench. She woke to find her laptop which she had put into a laptop bag, both were gone. Value $1550.

Theft from Residence – 1 blk Penelope St. – 3/14 at 9:40 PM – Victim states she went to a job interview and left her children to be looked after by a known suspect. When she came home she discovered drugs inside the house and confronted the actor. She discovered her LG pad and cell phone were gone.

Theft from Person/Access Device Fraud – 800 Boggs Ave. – between 3/11 and 3/16 – Victim states she permitted a friend to stay in her residence. After a couple of days, the friend/suspect left. The victim discovered her debit card had unauthorized purchase on it.

Stolen Auto – 1900 blk. Westmont St. between 3/17 at 10:00 PM and 3/18 at 1:00 AM – Victim states she had set her keys down at a party and when she was leaving the party, she couldn’t find her keys and her car was gone. PA plate JVJ1896, burgundy, Ford Fiesta.

Stolen Auto – 50 blk. Haberman Ave. – 3/18 between 7:45 Am and 8:00 AM – Victim states he was warming up his car and went back inside his residence leaving it unattended. When he came back outside, the car was gone. PA plate JMW4524, 2002 blue Ford Explorer.

Stolen Auto 100 blk. Beltzhoover Ave – 3/19 between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM – Victim states he went outside to warm up his car leaving it running and unattended. He fell asleep and woke up to find the car gone. He was informed his car was involved in a hit and run a short distance away, with airbag deployment. Officers observed fresh cuts to the victim’s face. When asked, the victim stated he was involved in a fight at a bar.

Theft from Vehicle and Hit and Run – Paul and Otham Sts. – 3/19 at 2:25AM – Victim reports her vehicle was taken by a suspect she has seen around the area. He went into her car and took her keys out of her purse and drove away. Damage observed was to the left front bumper area and the tire was gone. A short time later it was reported that this vehicle had struck a parked car and the driver had fled the scene. Video footage was to be obtained from a private security camera.

South Shore (1921)

South Side Flats (1702, 1609)

Theft from Vehicle – 1800 blk. Fox Way – between 3/11 at 6:30 PM and 3/12 at 7:15 AM – Victim discovered her car had been ransacked. Nothing appears to have been stolen.

Theft from Vehicle – 2800 blk. Sidney St. – 3/16 between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM – Victim’s car was parked in the Hot Metal garage. When she returned to her car, she discovered her window had been smashed. Missing were her purse, two wallets containing various credit cards, driver’s license and $30 were also taken.

Aggravated Assault – 20 blk. Bedford Sq. – 3/14 at 7:40 PM – Two victims report having been shot at while in their car. Bullet holes were observed to their car. No injuries.

Criminal Trespass – 2300 blk. Sydney St. - 3/20 at 7:19 AM – Victim states after allowing some friends to stay overnight at his residence. They all left and when he went in to the bathroom, he heard noises. He discovered that one of these individuals had come back inside through an unlocked window. The suspect refused to leave until police were called.

Aggravated Assault – 1700 blk E. Carson St. - 3/20 at 2:29 AM – A witness stated that the victim was assaulted by two suspects. They punched and kicked him and punched him into a stationary car. At that time, the victim lost his footing and his legs went out and fell to the ground. The suspects continued to assault the victim and fled on foot when a crowd gathered. The victim sustained a fractured ankle.

Bon Air (1806)

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Theft from Vehicle – 2600 blk. S. 18th St. – between 3/12 at 9:00 PM and 3/13 at 12:00 PM – Victim states her license plate was stolen from her car. OH plate GNZ9136.

Theft from Person – 20 blk. Bailey Ave. – 3/12 10:00 PM – Victim states she lost her registration plate or it had fallen off. PA plate JXP-1977.

Burglary (Attempt) – 2100 blk. Salisbury St. – 3/14 at 3:50 PM – Victim states she was at home when she heard a noise on the second floor. She heard another noise like a window closing. She went to the top of the stairs and discovered a window open. She closed and locked it an went outside to call for police. A neighbor went to the back of her residence and saw a gray van parked and running with two people inside. Upon seeing the neighbor, the people drove off. Nothing was found to be missing at this time.

Burglary – 1300 blk. Sterling St. – 3/15 at 4:30 AM – Victim woke to find her a relative inside her bedroom. When asked, the suspect replied she wanted to get some of her belongings that she had left there. The victim discovered her television was near the front door and her purse missing. When confronted, the victim grabbed the brown paper bag the suspect was holding and in it was her purse. The victim shoved the suspect outside and locked her door. After police arrived, it was discovered the basement window had been broken which the suspect used to gain access. A warrant has been issued for the suspect.

Stolen Auto – 60 blk. Mt. Oliver St. – 3/17 between 12:00 AM and 8:45 AM – Victim states his car was stolen from in front of his house some time during the night. PA plate ZFM7007, black 2000 Ford F150 truck.

Allentown (1803)

Stolen Auto – 600 blk. Lillian St. - 3/18 between 6:00PM and 8:30 PM – Only after the victim’s car was involved in a hit and run, the victim states her car must have been stolen. On 3/19 at 2:15 AM, The victim recovered her car in the Beltzhoover area. The car was parked and locked.

Theft from Person – 500 blk. Arlington Ave. – 3/17 at 11 PM – Victim states she had a friend over her house. When the friend/suspect left, the victim discovered her five prescriptions which were in her purse were gone.

Knoxville (3001)

Theft from Person – 100 blk Bausman St. – between 3/5 and 3/14 – Victim states during her move from one residence to another a known suspect took her prescription pills.

Theft from Residence – 300 blk. Matthews – 3/14 between 10:52 AM and 4:10 PM – Victim states someone took a package that had been delivered to her residence.

Stolen Auto – 400 blk. Jucunda St. – 3/14 at 1:05 PM – Victim states she left her car running with the keys in the ignition while she went inside for three minutes. She did not see who took her car. PA plate JKP1891, 2011 Maroon Kia Sorento.

Theft from Vehicle – 200 blk. Zara St. – 3/17 between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM Victim states her handicap placard was taken from her glove box in her car. Placard #P83519A

Burglary – 100 blk. Orchard Pl. – 3/18 between 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM – Victim states upon returning home, she discovered items missing from her residence. Taken was a Playstation 4 with controllers, a Playstation 3 with controllers, eleven video games, and a Vizio television. Total value $1500. Victim states the front door may have been left unlocked.

Theft from Person – 300 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 3/18 at 3:35 AM – The victim is an Uber driver. He picked up a fare at 18th and Crosman St. He gave his phone to the passenger/suspect to type in the destination in to his phone. At that time, the suspect and three other passengers fled on foot. Taken was a cellphone, value unknown.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Theft from Vehicle – 400 blk. Cedarhurst St. – 3/18 at 7:00 PM – Victim states his phone was stolen from his car while he was delivered a food order. He observed a group of suspects around his car and asked who took his phone. The suspects fled. The victim later recovered his phone which was found using an App in the area of Allen St. and Warrington Ave.

Stolen auto/recovered – 200 blk. E. Warrington Ave. – 3/20 between 12:35 PM and 12:37 PM – Victim states she left her car running and unlocked as she went into her mother’s house. When she came back outside, the car was gone. Officers found it a short distance away and the victim retrieved it with another set of keys.

Arlington (1603)

Burglary – 2000 blk. Spring St. – 3/15 between 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM – Victim states she is moving into an apartment. When she came to her apartment, she discovered pry marks on the door and the deadbolt was bent. The apartment was ransacked and two pair of tennis shoes were taken. Value $300.

Arlington Heights (1604)

Burglary – 3100 blk. Cordell Pl. – 3/14 between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM – Victim states a known suspect took her PS4, controllers, and a game from her residence. No forced entry. Value $500.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft from Residence – 2200 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 3/14 between 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM – Victim states she had gotten five prescriptions filled in the morning and went back to her residence. She states two known suspects were in her house and left together after a period of time. When the victim went to take a dose of her medication, she discovered all the newly filled prescriptions were gone.

Theft from Person/Access Device Fraud – 100 blk. Spencer Ave. – 3/16 between 7:30 PM and 10:00 PM – Victim states his ex-girlfriend was at his home and believes she took one of his debit cards. He discovered his account with a low balance when he made his own withdrawal. Withdrawn without his consent was $670.

Burglary – 2500 blk. Churchview Ave. – between 3/15 at 8:20 PM and 3/16 at 12:30 PM – Complainant reports her deceased sister’s apartment was burglarized. When the complainant went to the apartment to look for her will, she discovered items belonging to her deceased sister missing; cell phone, laptop computer and a cat. No forced entry was observed.

St. Clair (1606)

Burglary – 500 blk. Mountain Ave. – 3/17 between 1:35 PM and 3:00 PM – Victim states she permitted an acquaintance to remain in her apartment while she went to the doctor. When she returned, she discovered her television was missing. Value $500.
