The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: March 7, 2016 thru March 13, 2016.

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft from Residence – 100 blk. Southern Ave. - 3/8 between 12:00 PM and 3:15 PM – Victim states he allowed an acquaintance to stay at his residence. He discovered his television had been stolen when he arrived home. Suspect denied taking the television.

Burglary/Kidnapping/Unlawful Restraint – 400 blk Norton St. – 3/9 at 10:00 PM – Victim states while he was getting out of his car, three suspects approached him and forced him to allow them entry into his house. The suspects bound the victim with duct tape and stayed inside the house until two more victims came to the house disturbing the suspects in the house. The two victims fled once they realized what was happening. The suspects shot after the two victims. The suspects then fled. Taken were 5 designer belts, a Samsung Galaxy phone, a book bag and two firearms. No injuries to the victims.

Burglary – 100 blk Ruth St. – 3/10 between 6:20 AM and 7:25 PM – Victim states when he returned home from work, he discovered his front door open, his television missing and the basement door had been forced open. Value $750.

South Shore (1921)

South Side Flats (1702, 1609)

Burglary – 100 blk. S. 26th St. – between 3/1 and 3/8 at 6:49 PM – Victim states his tenants had moved out the previous week. When he went to check on the residence, he discovered to the rear windows, damaged drywall throughout the house, paint poured on the carpeting and copper pipes removed. Repairs estimated at $15,000.

Robbery – E. Carson and S. 28th Sts. – 3/10 at 7:25 PM – Victim states he was walking to work when he was struck in the head by an unknown suspects. The victim heard one suspect tell another suspect to “get his wallet, check his pockets”. The victim lost consciousness. After coming to, the victim walked to work as short distance away. The victim’s wallet containing two debit cards, driver’s license, $100 was taken.

Burglary – 1900 blk Carey Way – 3/11 at 7:40 PM – Victim states he heard pounding downstairs. He saw a female suspect in a window reaching for medication inside the residence. When confronted, the female threatened the victim with a knife. The victim called 911 and the female along with two male suspects fled on foot then into a vehicle. This vehicle was stopped by police where all suspects were ID’d and placed into custody. Arrested were: Michelle Biknius of Sunnyland St., Christopher Biknius of Maccassar St. in Pleasant Hills and Joseph Milcarek of Spokane St.

Aggravated Assault – 100 blk S. 20th St. – 3/11 at 11:00 PM – Witness states her boyfriend was in a verbal altercation with the suspect inside of a bar. They left the bar and when they got to their car, the suspect had a baseball bat and struck the victim in the head and back with it. They got the victim into the car and drove to a friend’s house. After a couple hours, the victim began to act strangely and lost consciousness. They drove the victim to the hospital. Unknown suspects.

Theft of Lost Property – 1700 blk. E. Carson St. – 3/13 between 1:00 AM and 12:11 PM – Victim states she set her wristlet on a table. Inside the wristlet was the victim’s phone, debit card, driver’s license and $30. Due to it being closing time, she was not permitted to go back upstairs by the employees. She discovered her debit card was used to withdraw $200. Unknown suspects.

Theft from Person – 1800 blk. E. Carson St. – 3/12 at 2:00 PM – Victim states she lost her phone while walking in the South Side during the St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Theft from Person – Access Device Fraud – E. Carson and S. 18th Sts. – 3/12 between 2:30 PM and 5:15 PM – Victim states at some point while walking around the South Side, someone took her credit card, debit card and ID from her wristlet. Prior to cancelling her cards, one unauthorized transaction was made for $108 at Nakama.

Theft from Person – location somewhere around 15th to 20th Sts, below Carson St., on 3/12 at 12:30 AM – Victim states he was stopped by the suspect with a black gun. The victim was told to put his wallet and watch on the ground to which he complied. The suspect took $50 out of his wallet, a credit card and his watch and fled on foot. The victim reported this over 15 hours later.

Bon Air (1806)

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Theft from Vehicle – 2800 blk. Mary St. – 3/5 between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM – Victim states someone took her cell phone out of her unlocked car. Unk value.

Allentown (1803)

Robbery (knife) – 800 E. Warrington Ave. – 3/7 at 4:20 PM – Victim states he was approached by the suspect displaying a small knife. The suspect told him to give him everything he had. He took the gold chain from the victim’s neck, and took $150 cash from his pocket. The suspect fled on foot.

Burglary (home invasion) – 800 blk. Excelsior St. – 3/7 at 9:10 PM – Victim states he opened the door to let in a visiting friend when two masked suspects came into his house. They struck the victim in the head with a hard object and took money from his wallet and his cell phone. Total value $740.

Theft from Business – 50 blk. Amanda Ave – 3/8 at 1:00 PM – Business owner states suspect took a nail gun and put it under his shirt and walked out of the business. This is not a retail theft as it is an auto service garage. Value $250.

Aggravated Assault -

Knoxville (3001)

Theft from Person – 300 blk Suncrest St. – between 3/7 at 12:00 PM and 3/8 at 7:00 PM – Victim states someone stole the metal fencing from a dog pen that was in his yard. Value $100.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Mount Oliver (1607)

Theft from Residence – 400 blk Fisher St. – between 3/5 at 1:00 PM and 3/8 at 6:00 AM – Victim states someone came onto her porch and took a Power Wheels Truck. Value $379.

Arlington (1603)

Theft from Person – 2400 blk. Arlington Ave. – between 3/11 at 3:00 PM and 3/12 at 3:15 PM – Victim states a known suspect took her ATM card and made unauthorized charges.

Arlington Heights (1604)

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft from Vehicle – 1500 blk Transverse Ave. – between 3/8 at 7:30 PM and 3/9 at 7:10 AM – Victim states someone entered her vehicle while it was parked overnight and scattered items throughout. No forced entry was observed and nothing was found to be missing at this time.

Theft from Vehicle – 200 blk. The Boulevard – between 3/8 at 10:00 PM and 3/9 at 10:30 AM – Victim states her parked vehicle was rifled through overnight while it was parked in front of her residence. Nothing was observed to be missing and not forced entry was observed.

Theft from Person – 100 blk Parkfield St. – 3/9 between 1:20 PM and 1:50 PM – Victim states her phone was taken from her purse while she was in gym class.

Theft from Vehicle – 2300 blk. Brownsville Rd. – 3/11 at 2:00 PM – Victim states she went into a business for 5 minutes and when she returned to her car, she discovered her purse which had been on the rear floor and been gone through. Missing were her driver’s license, smartphone, five bottles of prescriptions, and $379 in cash.

Theft from Person – Brownsville Rd. at Stewart Ave. – Victim states her purse was on the ground at the bus stop when she stepped away from it to see if the bus was coming. She said there was a male near her purse when she had done this and he left when she came back to her purse. Later she discovered her prescription was missing from her purse.
