The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: February 8, 2016 thru February 14, 2016.

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Theft from Vehicle – Greenleaf and Shaler Sts. – between 2/9 at 5:45 PM and Theft 2/10 at 8:15 AM – Victim states his car window had been smashed out and a pair of sunglasses and 2 CD’s were missing.

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft from Person - 400 blk Ruxton St. – on 1/19 –Victim states his former roommate used a key to enter his residence and take a laptop, DVD player and a gold chain with a cross pendant. Total $1041 loss.

Robbery (strong arm) – Southern Ave at Sandwich St. – 2/9 at 1:50 PM – Victim states he was standing waiting for a bus when the suspect bumped into him and took the backpack off of his shoulder. A laptop was inside the backpack.

Theft from Residence – 2/12 between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – Victim states a known person stole three guitars, valued at $3050.

Theft from Residence – 400 blk William St. – between 1/10 between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM – Victim states a Fed Ex package was stolen from her residence after being delivered. Value $35.90.

South Shore (1921)

Robbery – Arlington Ave. at E. Carson St. – 2/11 at 3:00 PM – Victim states just began to walk up Arlington Ave. when the suspect bumped into him, drew a gun and demanded his wallet. The victim gave it to the suspect and the suspect fled up Arlington.

South Side Flats (1702, 1609)

Stolen Auto – S. 14th & Sarah Sts. – 2/7 between 4:16 AM and 10:00 AM – Victim states she discovered her vehicle was missing and reported it stolen. PA plate JBF9685, silver 2013 Volkswagon Jetta.

Theft from Vehicle – S. 22nd & Wharton Sts. – between 2/9 at 11:10 PM and 2/10 at 7:40 AM – Reporting person states two wheels were removed from his father’s car.

Theft from Vehicle - S. 22nd & Wharton Sts. – 2/10 at 1:10 PM – Victim states he discovered a wheel stolen from his vehicle. A witness came forward and provided pictures of the suspect jacking up his car and removing the wheel.

Theft from Person – 1300 blk E. Carson St. – 2/12 at 1:40 AM – Victim states she left her wallet on a table when she went up to sing karaoke. When she returned, $60 was missing from her wallet.

Criminal Trespass – 60 blk. S. 22nd St. – 2/10 at 7:36 hrs – Victims state they noticed the exterior basement door was open and the light was on. No one should be inside the basement. A search was conducted and nothing was observed to be disturbed or stolen.

Burglary – 2100 blk. Jane St. – 2/13 at 2:30 Am and 2:30 PM – Victims state they discovered a kitchen window was open and foot prints underneath it. Nothing was found to be missing at this time.

Theft form Vehicle – S. 28th and Sidney Sts. – 2/14 between 11:55 AM and 1:40 PM – Victim states he parked his car in the public garage and when he returned, his car window was smashed and a camera was stolen from the rear seat, value $500.

Theft from Person – 2300 blk E. Carson St. – 2/14 at 5:40 PM – Victim states he had $40 taken from his person while he was dancing with a female.

Stolen Plates – 2700 blk. E. Carson – between 2/11 at 5:30 PM and 2/12 at 10:30 – Complainant states two registration plates were taken from two of their trailers. PA plates PT4457X and PT3791R.

Theft from Business – 2600 blk Tunnel Blvd. – between 2/11 at 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM – Reporting person states an entire skid of 2x4’s were taken from the construction site, value $1200.

Bon Air (1806)

Theft from Vehicle (firearm) – 100 blk Schchert St. – between 2/2 at 8:00 Am and 2/4 at 11:00 PM – Victim states his Glock 27, a 40 caliber pistol which was in a holster accompanying two eight round magazines was taken out of the console of his vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry and he believes he must have left it unlocked.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Burglary – 20 blk Sharon St. – 2/7 between 2:30 AM and 3:00 AM – Victim woke to find a suspect leaving his residence. The item stolen was a can of pop from the refrigerator.

Allentown (1803)

Theft from Person – 700 blk Warrington Ave. – 2/8 at 5:45 PM – Victim/customer states that he had set his wallet on the store counter and mistakenly left it there. When he got home, he called the store and spoke with the manager. The manager viewed video footage and discovered that an employee had taken the wallet. A warrant was applied for the employee.

Theft by Extortion – 700 blk Eureka St. – between 2/7 and 2/10 – Victim states he voluntarily engaged in an activity via Skype and is now being extorted for the incident.

Stolen Vehicle – 600 blk. Excelsior St. – 2/12 at 6:32 AM – Victim states her husband was warming up the car and left the keys inside. The vehicle was taken and was shortly afterward found by an officer a few blocks away. The juvenile driver bailed out of the car and fled. A firearm that was in the glove compartment was missing.

Stolen Auto – 1500 blk Brownsville Rd. – 2/8 between 9:00 Am and 1:00 PM – Victim states his white Dodge Avenger, PA plate JXY4773 was taken from the rear of his residence.

Stolen Auto – 300 blk Spencer Ave. – between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM – Victim states he was warming up his vehicle in his driveway when it was stolen. 2000 Jeep Cherokee, PA plate FHB8459.
