The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: February 1, 2016 thru February 7, 2016.

South Side Flats (1702, 1609)

Burglary – 2800 blk Sarah St. - between 1/31 at 12:00 PM and 2/1 at 6:15 PM – Victim states someone entered her residence and broke numerous items including a television.

Theft form Person – 2000 blk Wharton St. – 2/2 between 10:00 AM and 10:45 AM – Victim reports she placed her wallet inside a grocery bag at the grocery store and discovered it missing when she got home.

Theft from Business – 10 blk. S. 6th St. – between 12/1/15 and 2/3 – A registration plate was discovered missing from a business.

Theft from Residence – 1700 blk. Edwards Way – 2/4 between 8:00 AM and 4:35 PM – Victim states her bicycle was stolen from her back porch where it was locked. The suspect cut through the U lock.

Theft from Person – 2700 blk E. Carson St. – 2/4 between 8:15 PM and 9:30 PM – Victim #1 states his keys were stolen while he was at the gym. The suspect gained access to his parked vehicle. $2 in change was taken along with a credit card. This card was used at two local businesses. The victim’s keys were left on his dashboard. Victim #2 states his keys were locked in a locker. His keys and lock were missing. His car had been accessed and $80 in cash, 2 gift cards and a debit card were taken. His keys were left on his center console inside his car.

Burglary – 34 S. 17th St. – between 2/4 at 11:00 PM and 2/5 at 7:30 AM – Victim believes he left his rear door unlocked and someone came into his residence and took a laptop, laptop charger, Xbox, Xbox wireless controller, Xbox game, Underarmour pack, Pit Panthers umbrella. Total value taken $1290.

Theft form Person – 1400 blk E. Carson St. – 2/6 at 1:00 AM - Victim states her wallet was inside her purse which she had ahold of the entire time she was inside the restaurant. Missing was the wallet, driver’s license, $60, and 2 bank debit cards.

Stolen Vehicle – 70 blk S. 19th St. – 2/6 between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM – Victim states her car was stolen. 2003 Jeep Wrangler, PA plate FGZ4372.

Theft by deception, attempt (Scam) – 1200 blk. E. Carson St. – 2/6 at 2:50 PM - Victim states the suspect phoned the store and claimed they were from Duquesne Light Company and they owed $869.25, a past due amount. The suspect threatened to shut off their electricity. The victim hung up on them knowing they were not behind on their bill. The victim notified Duquesne Light.

Theft from person – 2/7 between 12:30 AM and 8:07 AM – Victim states she believes her phone was stolen from setting it on the bar. Value $600.

Stolen vehicle – 1700 blk E. Carson St. – 2/7 between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM – Victim stated her car was stolen. 2009 Hyundai Sonata, PA plate EBD5706.

Burglary/Stolen Vehicle – 900 blk Pretense Way – between 2/4 at 11:00 PM and 2/5 at 7:00 AM – Victim discovered his car missing from his garage and also discovered the keys were missing from the residence with the sliding door was open.

Bon Air (1806)

Theft from Auto – 200 blk Institute St. – between 2/1 at 7:30 PM and 2/2 at 8:30 AM – Victim states her car was parked, locked in her driveway. She discovered her car had been rifled through. Missing is a phone charger. No signs of forced entry.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Arson – 1800 blk. Josephine St. – 2/5 at 1:24 AM – An officer on patrol discovered multiple vehicles on fire in the rear of the Extra Mile Automotive business. A total of seven vehicles were on fire.

Theft from residence – 60 blk Pius St. - 2/2 between 9:00 AM and 10:05 PM – Two victims’ packages were stolen from their residence.

Theft from Vehicle – S. 18th & St. Patrick St.- 2/4 between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM – Victim states someone broken her car window and took an empty wallet and a blanket.

Theft from Residence – 90 Pius St. – 2/5 between 5:49 PM and 6:30 PM – Victim states a package delivered by UPS had been stolen. Total value $150.

Theft from Auto – 2600 blk. E. Carson St. – 2/5 at 10:22 AM – From a couple blocks away, victim states he saw a male smash his truck window and take a backpack and tools. Total value $650

Theft from person – 300 blk. Suncrest St. – between 1/27 and 2/4 – Victim states her 4 y.o. son’s medication was stolen while staying with a relative.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Mount Oliver (1607)

Burglary – 400 blk Walde St. – 2/5 between 7:20 AM and 7:38 PM – Officers responded to a burglar alarm, a short time later the resident arrived. It was observed a side window was open and the rear door was unsecured. 3 watches, 3 purses, a laptop and Ipad were taken. Total value $6550.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft from person – 90 blk Hornady Rd. – 2/1 at 4:00 AM – Victim states her three children’s social security cards had been removed from their residence.

Robbery – 90 blk Hornady Rd. – 2/1 at 9:00 AM – Victim states she was robbed by three males. Although a gun wasn’t seen, she believed they had a gun. Taken were a bus pass, five social security cards, two wallets, two prescriptions, and kids clothing and shoes. This is unrelated to the theft that occurred at the same location five hours before.

Robbery (Knife) – 2600 Brownsville Rd. – 2/4 at 14:25 – Victim/manager states a white male with a mask over his face produced a knife and made threats to harm a young child if the manager did not give him money. Approximately $100 was taken.

Theft from person – 10 blk Wynoka St. – between 1/31 and 2/1 at 4:30 PM – Victim reports her medication was missing.

Stolen Vehicle – 200 blk Maytide St.- 2/4 between 11:30 AM and 5:00 PM – Victim states his vehicle was taken from his driveway. No signs of glass break. 1997 Dark blue, Honda Accord, PA plate HJT9136.

Theft from Vehicle (firearm) – 100 blk. Linnview Ave. – between 2/6 at 9:00 PM and 2/7 at 11:00 AM – Victim states he thought he had locked his truck when he discovered his firearm missing from the center console. Smith & Wesson 38 caliber revolver.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Theft from Auto – 2300 blk Fairland St. – between 2/2 at 5:30 PM and 2/3 at 7:10 AM – Victim states a baggie of change was taken from the console of her car.

Theft from Business (stolen license plates) – 1500 blk Saw Mill Run – Occurred on or about 2/2. Reporting person states it was discovered three license plates were stolen from the business.

Theft from business – 2700 blk. Library Rd. – between 8/10/15 and 2/5/16 – Store manager reports a sheet of emissions stickers had been stolen from the business.
