City's most wanted tagger arrested by Graffiti Squad

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Graffiti Squad arrested tagger Max Gonzales on February 1.

The 22-year-old Gonzales had been number one on the squad’s list of most wanted offenders.

His body of work includes 58 locations primarily in Oakland, Shadyside, East Liberty and Bloomfield, with a total damage estimate of $114,000. In addition to his main tag, “Gem,” Gonzales also used “Gemonios,” “312” and “BTK” (Born to Krush).

The arrest was made possible from a tip after a box truck at the East End Brewing Company in Larimer was tagged.

Gonzales, a student at a local university, is a resident of Willowbrook, Illinois.
