General admission Soup Contest tickets are scheduled to go on sale on the event website on Friday, Feb. 5, at noon. General admission is $25 per person plus a food pantry donation to the Brashear Food Pantry. In past years, the South Side Soup Contest has sold out in less than five minutes.
This year’s contest will feature more than two-dozen restaurants paired with business and retail locations throughout South Side. Participants will try to sample as many tasty soups as possible, voting for their favorites.
The winning restaurant will house the coveted Soup Bowl Trophy for the year. Proceeds from the soup contest benefit The Brashear Association’s food pantries and the South Side Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center, an official information center of VisitPittsburgh and a central community services and meeting place.
This year Hirambo will be the official mobile app partner.
