Police investigate armed robbery on Brownsville

 


Pittsburgh police are investigating an armed robbery in Carrick.

At approximately 9:36 p.m. on January 19 Zone 3 officers were sent to the Rite Aid in the 1200 block of Brownsville Road for a report of a robbery. According to police, a man approached the register with two snack items in his hand. He then removed a gun from his pocket and demanded the cashier to open the register. The suspect removed money from the register and left the store on foot.

The suspect is described as a light skin black man, approximately 6’ and 160 pounds, and is believed to be between 22 and 23 years old. He was wearing a green winter coat, black sneakers with white soles, light gray sweatpants and a blue scarf at the time of the robbery.

The investigation into this robbery is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
