The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: January 11, 2016 to January 17, 2016:

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Burglary of Residence/Construction Site -2600 Tunnel Blvd. between1/8 at 3:30 PM and 1/11 at 7:00 AM – Electrical construction foreman reported numerous tools taken from a residence under construction. An padlocked second floor room was broken.

Theft from Person – 300 blk William St. – on 10/31/15 at 2:30 PM – Victim sold his car to suspect, suspect drove off with his license plate. Victim had no explanation as to why he waited 10 weeks to report the theft.

Stolen Vehicle – 70 blk Pasadena St. – 1/13 at 10:10 AM – Victim had keys inside a running vehicle which was stolen within 10 minutes.

Theft by Deception – 100 blk Meridan – between 1/7 and 1/13 – Victim posted an item on Craig’s list. Suspect sent a large amount check and requested the overage be sent back to him. The victim sent $1950.00. The check sent by the suspect was fake.

South Shore (1921)

South Side Flats (1702, 1609)

Theft from Auto – 100 block S. 16th St., between 1/10 at 12:00 PM and 1/11 at 8:00 AM – No forced entry. Driver’s license, passport, $43.00 in cash and multiple credit cards were taken.

Theft from Auto – 2000 blk Wharton St. on 1/14 at 1:30 PM – Suspect removed glass from the side mirror of victim’s vehicle.


South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Stolen Vehicle – 100 blk. Monastery Ave. – on 1/12 at 02:19 AM – Victim gave his vehicle to a known suspect to barrow. It was not returned and the suspect refused to answer their phone.

Stolen Vehicle – 70 Blk. Barry St. – on 1/14 at 6:30 AM – Victim gave keys to a known suspect with the intent for him to gain access to her garage in which he was storing tools. Unknowingly, he took the car without permission and was involved in a crash. He did return her keys and car. A warrant will be filed for the suspect.

Allentown (1803)

Knoxville (3001)

Burglary of residence – 200 blk Reifert St. – 1/11 between 7:55 AM and 8:30 AM – Victim she took her children to school and upon returning home, discovered her residence burglarized. There was no evidence of forced entry. Items missing include jewelry and prescription pills.

Stolen Auto/Recovered – 200 blk Moore Ave. – 1/14 at 12:26 AM – Stolen vehicle was located with four suspects inside. After a brief foot chase, officers arrested the driver of this vehicle. Suspect was a juvenile and taken to Shuman Center.

Stolen Auto – 300 blk Reifert St. - between 1/13 at 10:30 PM and 1/14/ at 4:30 AM – 2014 Toyota PA plate #JJY3905. Victim states his vehicle was stolen by unknown person.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Theft from Person – 200 blk Sylvania Ave. – between 1/14 at 7:30 AM and 11:45 AM – Victim came home to discover her front door open and items missing. It is unknown if the roommate or another suspect took the items. Items missing worth $1570.00.

Arlington Heights (1604)

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Robbery of Person – W. Agnew on 1/11/ at 12:40. – Victim states she was at a convenience store, when she came out, the suspect asked to use her phone as they walked together. He gave her phone back and pulled a black handgun and told her to give him her money. She gave him $100.

Suspect is described as a black male, 18-23 years old, thin build, 140 lbs., light complexion, goatee.

Burglary of Business – 20 blk. Meritt Ave. on 1/11 between 9:30 PM and Midnight. – Victim states her 9 year old son woke her saying their Playstation had been stolen. The victim had a broken window, which was open when she went to check the living room for the Playstation. In addition, a Lego Starwars game which had been inside the PS 3, was gone. No other items were missing.

Burglary of Business – 1100 blk Brownsville Rd. - on 1/14 between 11:17 PM and 11:56 PM - Officers responded to a burglar alarm where they discovered an open front door. A key holder arrived and it was discovered a total of $838.00 was missing. No forced entry was discovered.

Burglary of Residence – 100 blk Duffland St. – on 1/13 between 7:20 Am and 4:00 PM – Victim returned home to discover a television missing. No forced entry had been made.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Attempted Burglary of Residence – 2400 blk Georgette St. – on 1/13 at 12:15 PM – Victim heard loud banging downstairs, then heard alarm going off. The victim discovered her side door had been kicked in, with no one entering the house. Nothing was taken.
