The following are the Part I crimes for the week of: January 4, 2016 to January 10, 2016:

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Theft from Auto –800 Blk. of saw Mill Run Blvd on 1/4- license plate taken from parked vehicle.

Theft from Person- 200 Blk of Lelia St. on 1/6 (between 2:00-7:00 AM.)- elderly victim believes his wallet was stolen.

Burglary – 200 blk. Leila St. on 1/9 at 5:30 P.M. – Victim was sleeping on his floor when known actor kicked in his front door. He demanded money that the victim owed him and made threats to kill him. Officers located the actor on scene and placed him under arrest.

South Shore (1921)

Robbery-100 blk of E. carson St. on 1/7 (11:00 PM)- Homeless intox. Male was punched in the face by a male only described as a “young kid” and $100.00 was taken from his pocket.

Theft from Auto- 1700 Blk. of Riverside St. on 1/6-Dealer plate was reported missing from company vehicle.

South Side Flats (1702, 1609)

Robbery of Person (Strong arm)-2100 Blk. Wharton St. on 1/6 at 5:25 PM- female victim was approached by 2 actors grabbed her phone and took money from her pockets. Suspect #1- B/M 25-35 6’, medium build wearing a green coat, gray hat and gray pants. Suspect #2 Hispanic male 25-35 approximately 5’8.

Robbery of Motor Vehicle 1200 Sarah St.-on 1/3 at 1100 PM (reported on 1/4 at 10:30 AM)- victim said she was pushed from behind by a large male 6” 250 lbs. (no other description) who took her purse and rental car which was a Hertz rental :Yellow Kia Rio (no plate).

Theft from Business – 2500 Carson St. on 1/7- employee reported money missing from register. Suspect a customer that was on scene.

Stolen Vehicle- 1700 Sidney St.-on 1/5 at 9:30 P.M.-victim left car unattended and running. 99 Gold Toyota Camry Pa. Plate LLKING.

* Vehicle recovered at 2100 Blk. of Reed St. in the Hill on 1/8/ at 0030.

Theft from person – 2000 Mary St. on 1/6- victim reported wallet either lost or stolen.

Theft from Auto- 1900 Wharton St. on 1/6- victim’s window was broken out, vending machine snacks and $75.00 in change taken.

Theft from Auto- 400 E. Carson St. on 1/7-victim reported license plate taken. Pa.

HYR-3467.

Stolen Vehicle- 2300 Sidney St. between 1/5 at 1600 and 1/6 at 1:00 P.M.- victim reported 97 Red Jeep Wrangler Pa. HMJ-1332 stolen.

Theft from Person – 2000 Mary St. on 1/6 at 12:57 P.M. Victim discovered her wallet was missing from her purse when she went to pay at a doctors office. Contents included $1,400, credit cards, license, and other personal cards.

Theft from Auto – 2100 blk Sidney St. between 1/7 at 1:00 P.M. and 1/8 at 08:00 A.M. – No forced entry. Initially a back pack and laptop computer were taken. The victim found the laptop and back pack at the intersection of 22nd and Sidney Sts. however his school text book s were missing from it.

Theft from Auto – 2400 blk. Wrights Way between 1/8 at 8:00 P.M. and 1/9 at 9:00 A.M. – Items taken were two duffle bags with gym clothes, and approximately $200.

Theft from Auto – 19th & Wharton Sts. on 1/6 between 00:05 A.M. and 03:00 A.M. – Prepackaged vending machine food and $75 in change was taken.

Theft from person – 1800 blk. Edwards Way on 1/7 – Victim states his mountain bike was taken from alongside his residence.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Theft from Auto- 1900 Blk. of Arlington Ave. on 1/6-a suitcase, laptop and backpack were taken. No signs of forced entry into the vehicle.

Theft from Church-100 Blk. of Monastery Ave. on 1/6 at 11:20 AM-unknown amount of money was taken from the candle box. The actor is described as a W/M 21 to 25 years old, 6’0 tall, thin build, wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Stolen Vehicle- 2300 Blk. of Eccles on 1/5-Chevy Impala was taken while left unattended and running. Recovered same day crashed at Bernd and Bausman.

Theft from Auto – 21st & Josephine Sts. on 1/9 between 10:00 A.M. and 9:00 P.M.– No signs of forced entry into the vehicle. $5.00 in change was taken.

Theft from Auto – 2300 blk. 18th St. between 1/7 at 11:00 P.M. and 1/8 at 8:00 A.M. – Victim reports items stolen from his vehicle are a duffle bag with gym clothes, laptop, headphones, text books, driver’s license and passport.

Robbery – 200 blk 21st St. on 1/8 at 2:38 P.M. – Victim reports a known actor choked her and grabbed her purse, demanding the gun he knew she carried. She denied having it in the purse and fled to wave down a passing motorist. The actor placed the purse on a wall and walked away. The actor did not keep any items including the gun.

Allentown (1803)

Burglary-600 Blk. E. Warrington Ave. between 1/4 and 1/6- victim returned home to discover items missing from her residence. No forced entry. A known suspect with keys to the residence took a tv, shoes, inflatable bed and a waterpik were missing.

Burglary – 900 Manton Way – on 1/8 between 06:30 A.M.and 7:20 P.M. – Victim discovered her front door forced open and discovered her flat screen tv missing.

Knoxville (3001)

Theft from Person- 600 Blk. Brownsville rd.- on 1/7-victim reported wallet missing while riding a PAT bus.

Theft from person- 300 Blk. Rochelle St. on 1/6- victim reported known actor took her cell phone.

Theft from Auto (Stolen Gun)– 300 blk Suncrest St. between 1/7 at 8:00 P.M. and 1/8 at 09:25 A.M. – Victim states that someone accessed her vehicle from an open window and took her firearm.

Stolen Vehicle – 200 blk Reifert St. on 1/9 between 11:00 A.M. and 1:00.P.M. – Victim reported her vehicle as stolen. PA plate JTZ-8845, gold 2004 Mercedes.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Armed Robbery Of Business- 200 Blk. of Beltzhoover on 1/6-2 Blk. males armed with a silver handgun and wearing bandanas entered the store, presented the firearm and took money and cigarettes.

Suspect #1-Blk Male 18-22 years wearing a Blk. Hoodie and Multicolored pants 6’ and 160lbs.

Suspect #2- Blk Male 18-22 years wearing a Blk. Hoodie and Black pants 6’2” and 160lbs.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Aggravated Assault- 200 Nobles on 1/7 at 2:38 PM- uncooperative male victim showed up at Mercy Hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He said he was shot on the North Side. Zone 3 units found casing in the 200 Blk. of Nobles Ln.

Theft from Person-1900 Blk. Westmont on 1/6- 4 used chrome wheels taken from the victim’s porch between 1/3 and 1/6.

Theft from Person-1200 Blk Brownsville Rd. on 1/6-victim reported prescription medication missing from her purse.

Theft from Person-1600 Blk. Oakhurst on 1/6-Rolex watch went missing after known persons were at residence drinking.

Theft from Person-100 Blk. Madeline St. on 1/5-package reportedly delivered was missing from porch.

Theft from Person-100 Blk. E. Agnew on 1/4 –prescription medication taken by known person.

Theft from Person-100 Blk. Belplain on 1/6-Ex-boyfriend took victims ATM card and used it.

Armed Robbery of Business – 2800 blk. Brownsville on 1/8 at 8:25 P.M.– 1 white male actor entered the store with a gun and demanded the store clerk to give him money from the register. When the victim couldn’t open it, the actor demanded him to open the safe. The victim told him he didn’t have the combination. The actor then backed out of the store without getting anything.

*WM suspect, 5’8”, 170’, thin build, wearing a hooded jacket, black scarf, blue jeans, black gloves, white shoes.

Strong Arm Robbery person – Minooka St. & Brownsville Rd. on 1/9 at 00:08 A.M. – Victim states he was walking home and a male came up from behind him and put him in a headlock demanding him to throw his phone to the ground and give him the pass code. The victim complied and the actor fled with the phone/wallet. After giving a description of the actor and by tracking his phone, officers located a possible suspect a short distance away. All items were ID’d and returned to the victim. Officers placed actor under arrest.

Aggravated Assault, Discharge of a firearm – 2000 blk Brownsville Rd. at 10:30P.M. – Victims state there was a knock at the door and upon opening the door; the actor fired a shot into the apartment. No one was injured. Actor fled on foot.

Burglary 400 Blk Overbrook Blvd. between 1/5 at 1600 and 1/6 at 06:20 A.M. – Victims discovered actors entered in the rear door. Approximately $2,200 in jewelry, and $1,00 0 in Christmas presents were taken.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Theft from business-2700 Blk. Library Rd. on 1/7- Business reported night deposit was short. Employee admitted to taking money.

Burglary – 200 blk Briggs St. on 1/7 at 11:40 – Victim was home when he heard banging at his basement door. When he came into the basement, he found an unknown male inside. The actor ran out and fled along with four other males.
