Arrest made in weekend Carrick street robbery
Shortly after midnight on January 9, at approximately 12:17 a.m., Zone 3 Officers were sent to Minooka Street in Carrick for a report of a street robbery.
After arriving, the officers were informed a a thin black man, approximately 5'8" wearing a hooded, tan coat approached a male victim as he walked along Minooka near the intersection with Brownsville Road, and robbed him of his iPhone and wallet that contained a small amount of cash.
As the result of the investigation, Officers arrested Kamau Thomas, Jr., 19, also of Carrick. Thomas is charged with robbery.
