Police search for two in South Side robbery


The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Robbery Squad is requesting the assistance of the public in identifying two people wanted in connection with a recent street robbery.

On Dec. 13, 2015 at approximately 11:25 p.m., Zone 3 Officers were sent to S. 19th and Sidney streets for an armed robbery that had just occurred. According to police, a 27-year-old man from Mt. Washington was walking when a black woman and man approached him. The woman was armed with a black automatic pistol and demanded he hand over his belongings.

At the time, the woman was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. She is believed to be 5’4” and approximately 115 pounds. The male suspect is believed to be 6 feet tall and approximately 170 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

The two fled on foot on S. 21st Street toward E. Carson Street with the victim’s wallet and cellphone. The two used a credit card taken in the robbery.

Information about their identities and whereabouts should be shared with police by calling 412-488-8330.

The store employee then opened the cash register and handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects fled the store and ran on foot toward East Carson Street.

Police broadcast descriptions of the suspects and searched the area without finding them.
