Home invasion in South Side

Two men have been arrested after a reported home invasion in the South Side Flats. At 2:31 a.m. on Dec. 28, Zone 3 Officers were called to the 2900 block of Harcum Way for a report that a man called 911 and stated he had a gun to his head and was not allowed to leave the house.

The officers discovered the rear door of the residence wide open and the victims, four adults and two children, were still inside. The victims were unharmed.

The officers learned that two armed suspects had fled the scene.

One suspect was known to the victims and the other was wearing a mask.

At approximately 2:52 a.m., police observed two men matching the description of the suspects near the intersection of Cobden and Clover streets.

Both men were detained and identified as the suspects involved in the home invasion. The pair were identified as Tyler Booher, 20, of Arlington, and Shawn Siciliano, 22, of Carrick.

A 9 mm firearm was recovered on Mr. Siciliano. He had a valid license to carry a firearm. A bag Mr. Booher was carrying contained a digital scale, marijuana grinder and a glass pipe.

Their charges include burglary, robbery, criminal conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
