Grants available for programs in Knoxville and Mt. Oliver

The Hilltop Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) is accepting applications for the 2016-EZ Project/Program.

Non-profit groups with 501(c)3 status providing a direct benefit to Mt. Oliver and Knoxville may apply for up to $2,500 to improve quality of life in the communities through job training, crime prevention or education programs.

Organizations may submit only one application and demonstrate they have the capacity to complete the project. In addition, the application must demonstrate a benefit for low to moderate income residents of the neighborhoods.

All funds must be expended by June 1, 2016 and closeout reports are required within 30 days after the project or program ends.

Projects that are highly visible and impactful will receive the highest scores.

Applications must be submitted in a pdf document on or before January 15, 2016 by 4 p.m. to rgriffin@gatewayengineers.com.

A workshop to provide technical assistance and answers about the E-Z Program/Project funding process will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1 p.m. at LifeSpan, 320 Brownsville Road.

Applications are available at the Mt. Oliver Borough Building, 150 Brownsville Road or by emailing Borough Manager Rick Hopkinson at r.hopkinson106@outlook.com.

Questions about the program or application may be directed to dgrass1506@hotmail.com.
