The following are the violent crimes, crime trends for the week of: November 16 to November 22, 2015:

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Theft from Vehicle – 1700 block of Rutledge Street, occurred between 11/15 8:00pm and 11/16 12:00pm. Interior of car gone through and owner’s card and keys taken. All property located laying on sidewalk.

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Burglary of Residence – 40 block of Wyoming Street, occurred between 1:30pm and 4:25pm on 11/16. Entry made through rear window. Money, 55” TV, jewelry stolen.

Theft – 700 block of Southern Avenue, occurred between 11/13 4:00pm and 11/16 1:00am. Tools taken from truck.

Aggravated Assault – Lelia Street and Mindora Street, occurred at 2:00pm on 11/18. Male and female victim were shot at by an unknown actor. Actor described as a black male and he was driving a black Cadillac 4 door with tinted windows. No further information provided.

Burglary of Residence – 300 block of Bailey, occurred between 11:25am and 12:54pm on 11/20. Forced entry made through side door. Money taken.

South Shore (1921)

Theft – E. Carson Street and S. 1st Street, occurred between 12:00pm and 9:00pm on 11/18. Catalytic converter stolen.

Theft – 100 block of Station Square Drive, occurred between 10:00am and 7:40pm on 11/18. Catalytic converter stolen.

South Side Flats (1702, 1609)

Theft – 2300 block of Jane Street, occurred between 11/12 5:10pm and 11/16 4:45pm. Theft of packages from front door area. Packages were delivered at 5:10pm on 11/12 and 4:10pm on 11/16.

Burglary of Business – 2800 block of E. Carson Street, occurred between 12:05am and 5:25am on 11/18. Entry made be shattering glass in front door of business. iPad, cash register drawer, and money taken.

Theft – 2200 block of E. Carson Street, occurred between 4:30pm and 5:00pm on 11/7 (reported on 11/19). Cell phones stolen.

Criminal Trespass – 2500 block of Wharton Street, occurred between 2:29am and 2:30am on 11/17. Victim immediately called 911 when she heard her dog barking and then heard her garage door open. Nothing was taken, but boxes were moved in garage.

Robbery – Southside Riverfront Park Access Road and S. 16th Street, occurred between 8:02pm and 8:07pm on 11/16. Jogger was on riverfront trail when two actors stepped out of bushes and asked him for a cigarette. When victim said that he didn’t have one, one of the actors asked for a dollar. When victim reached for his wallet, the taller actor pulled a handgun, demanded money and then struck the victim with the handgun on the head. Actors described as black males. First actor was 6’3; second actor 5’10.

Burglary of Residence – 100 block of S. 18th Street, occurred between 7:50am and 11:15pm on 11/16. Entry made by forcing rear door. Change taken from jar.

Theft – 1800 block of E. Carson Street, occurred between 3:20pm and 3:26pm on 11/16. Cell phone left unattended on counter stolen.

Theft from Vehicle – 100 block of S. 16th Street, occurred between 11/15 9:00pm and 11/16 3:00am. Knives, new EZUp canopy, rechargeable flashlight stolen.

Theft – 1300 block of E. Carson Street, occurred between 1:00am and 2:00am on 11/14. Victim forgot cell phone on bathroom sink. When she went back to get it, it was gone and it hasn’t been turned in.

Robbery – 900 block of E. Carson Street, occurred at 11:10pm on 11/19. Male actor attempted to purchase five packs of Newport cigarettes, but debit card was declined. Actor then grabbed the cigarettes, which were packaged in a bag, from the clerk’s hands and fled in a silver sedan across the 10th Street Bridge. Actor described as a black male between 35 and 40 years of age, 5’5, 175 lbs, short black hair in a crew cut style, freckled complexion. Actor’s vehicle described as an older model silver four door sedan with tinted windows and shiny rims.

Theft – 2100 block of Wrights Way, occurred between 10:30am and 7:45pm on 11/19. Theft of shoes and watches, possibly by known person.

Theft – 2400 block of Sarah Street, occurred between 3:00pm and 4:40pm on 11/21. Theft of money by known person. Referred to magistrate.

Theft – 400 block of E. Carson Street, occurred between 6:00pm and 11:50pm on 11/20. Stereo stolen.

Theft – 1200 block of Bingham Street, occurred between 11:00am and 12:00pm on 11/21. Theft of cell phone that was left on unattended on a table.

Aggravated Assault – 1700 block of E. Carson Street, occurred at 1:20am on 11/22. Disorderly person struck officer. Cleared by arrest.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Stolen Car – 100 block of Monastery Avenue, occurred between 11:30am and 11:35am on 11/17. 2009 red Ford Fusion stolen.

Theft from Vehicle – 2700 block of Burham Street, occurred between 11/21 4:00pm and 11/22 8:00am. Theft of money from glovebox.

Stolen Car – 30 block of Sharon Street, occurred between 11/15 10:00pm and 11/20 8:00am. 2001 black Honda Civic, 2 door, stolen by a known person.

Burglary of Residence – 1900 block of St. Paul Street, occurred at 12:30pm on 11/22. Entry made through front door. Purses taken.

Allentown (1803)

Theft – 400 block of Allen Street, occurred between 4/1 and 7/31 (reported on 11/16). Theft of a firearm from a residence.

Theft - 700 block of Cress Way, occurred between 11/16 11:30pm and 11/17 8:30am. Prescription medication, cell phone, money taken by known actor.

Burglary of Residence – 900 block of Climax Street, occurred between 11/17 9:00pm and 11/18 1:00am. Door to apartment building and door to a vacant apartment pried open. Actor(s) caused extensive damage to apartment.

Robbery – Amanda Street and Bausman Street, occurred at 1:45pm on 11/17. Victim was talking on phone when a newer blue Chevy Camaro pulled up and a black male and black female got out of the car. Female actor accused victim of stealing her phone and grabbed the phone from the victim’s hand. The male actor then punched the victim in the face. Actors may have also taken prescription medications from the victim. Male actor is described as between 30 and 35 years of age, 5’6, 300 lbs, large/heavy build, black medium length hair. Female actor is described as between 30 and 35 years of age, 5’3, 115 lbs, small build, brown hair.

Aggravated Assault – 700 block of E. Warrington Street, occurred at 7:09pm on 11/20. Known actor. Warrant issued.

Knoxville (3001)

Burglary of Residence – 300 block of Jucunda Street, occurred at 9:08am on 11/19. Officers obtaining warrant for known actor.

Theft – 200 block of Knox Avenue, occurred between 11/18 6:00pm and 11/19 2:00pm. License plate stolen from car.

Theft – 200 block of Zara Street, occurred between 11/15 and 11/22. Access card stolen.

Stolen car – 400 block of Moore Avenue, occurred between 11/21 10:00pm and 9:09am on 11/22. 2007 silver Toyota Yaris, 4 door, stolen.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Criminal Trespass – 90 block of Boggston Avenue, occurred between 11/16 9:30pm and 11/18 6:53am. Actor arrested by responding officer.

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Theft from Vehicle – 30 block of Minooka Street, occurred between 11/17 10:00pm and 11/18 12:00pm. Money and prescription medication taken. No damage to vehicle.

Robbery – 1700 block of Brownsville Road, occurred at 8:10pm on 11/19. Victim had just gotten off a bus in the 1700 block of Brownville Road when he was approached by two actors. First actor asked victim for his phone and ripped it out of his hand while the second actor punched the victim in the face knocking him down. When victim started to get up, the first actor told him to stay down and acted as if he had a firearm in his waist band area. Actors described as black males. First actor between 18 and 25 years of age, 5’9, thin build, wearing a blue sweat suit, tattoos on forearms. Second actor between 18 and 25 years of age, 6’0, thin build, wearing a tan ¾ length khaki colored coat.

Robbery – Concordia Street and Meredith Street, occurred at 8:45pm on 11/17. Victim was walking on Brownsville Road toward Churchview Avenue. Two black males and one white male walked past him going in the opposite direction. The victim continued walking toward his home and he noticed that the three males were now following him. When he got to Concordia and Meredith, the three males approached him and the first black male actor pulled out a silver revolver and demanded the victim’s property. The victim resisted and began struggling with the actors. The white male actor then pulled out a black compact rifle and also demanded the victim’s property. The victim continued to resist and was able to get away.

Actors described as: (1) black male between 17 and 19 years of age, 6’0, thin build wearing a hooded sweatshirt, knit cap, armed with silver revolver. (2) white male between 17 and 19 years of age, 5’10, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, armed with a black compact rifle. (3) black male between 17 and 19 years of age, 5’10, wearing a hooded sweatshirt – no color given for sweatshirt.

Burglary of Residence – 300 block of Alries Street, occurred between 1:50pm and 1:56pm on 11/18. Door to apartment pried open. TV stolen.

Burglary of Residence – 100 block of Madeline Street, occurred between 9:25am and 9:30am on 11/19. Victim was sitting in her living room when she heard someone tampering with her window screen. When she looked, she saw a male actor attempting to open the window. Victim called 911 and when officers arrived on scene, the actor fled into and through the victim’s house. Officers were unable to locate actor. Actor described as a black male between 30 and 35 years of age, 5’8, 150 lbs, thin build, short black hair.

Theft – 300 block of Overbrook Blvd, occurred on 11/6 (reported on 11/16). Package delivered to residence and delivery driver handed package to unknown male.

Theft from Vehicle – 100 block of Wynoka Street, occurred between 11/21 11:30pm and 11/22 9:00am. Wallet and book bag stolen. No damage to car.

Burglary of Residence – 2200 block of Dellrose Street, occurred between 11/19 4:00pm and 11/20 7:00am. Entry made through side door. Tools stolen.

Overbrook (3204, 3207)

Stolen car – 1900 block of Dartmore Street, occurred between 11/15 10:00pm and 11/16 1:00am. 2003 black Ford F-150 stolen.
