Suspect arrested in Allentown burglaries

Zone 3 officers and detectives have arrested Laron Bonner, 20, of McLain Street on October 27 in the 800 block of Excelsior Street.

A warrant was issued by the Burglary Squad for Bonner’s arrest. He is suspected of committing several burglaries in the Allentown community. He entered the house by using a ladder to enter a second story window. Stolen were five firearms, a camera, headphones, backpack, and several jars of coins.

When detectives spotted the suspect, he was walking with his girlfriend. Bonner resisted arrest and kicked and bit a detective without breaking the skin.

Bonner was identified by a finger print he left behind. He is charged with burglary and six counts of theft by unlawful taking. He earned two more charges of resisting arrest and aggravated assault for his behavior during the arrest.
