Tutors are needed to teach kids how to read

 


OASIS is looking for tutors to help a child in the neighborhood learn to read.

No teaching experience is necessary. Free training will be given to mature adults 50+. All materials, books, and supplies are provided by OASIS. Ongoing education is offered at no charge.

OASIS offers tutoring in grades K-4 in the Pittsburgh Public and Woodland Hills School Districts. Training sessions will be on Fridays, November 6 and November 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The training will take place at the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council (GPLC) in downtown Pittsburgh.

GPLC is located at 411 Seventh Avenue, Suite 525, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
