The following are the violent crimes, crime trends for the week of: October 5 to October 11, 2015:

Duquesne Heights (1911)

Stolen Car – 300 block of Sweatbriar Street, occurred between 10/5 5:00pm and 10/6 6:30am. 2006 Pontiac G6 stolen. Recovered at Greenleaf and Clarence Street on 10/8

Stolen Car – 300 block of Sweatbriar Street, occurred between 1:00am and 12:00pm on 10/6. Exceptionally cleared due to refusal of victim to prosecute known actor.

Theft from Vehicle – 200 block of Shaler Street, occurred between 10/5 9:00pm and 10/6 4:00am. Change and CDs stolen.

Theft from Vehicle – 1700 block of Rutledge Street, occurred between 10/8 9:00pm and 10/9 5:30am. Pirates jersey and cell phone stolen

Mt. Washington (1903, 1914, 1915, 1807)

Burglary of Residence – 10 block of Haberman Avenue, occurred between 8:00am and 5:00pm on 10/5. Entry made through rear door. iPhone, Xbox 1 and games, jewelry stolen.

Burglary of Residence – 60 block of Craighead Street, occurred between 7:00am and 7:20am on 10/6. Actor forced open door and stole a cell phone.

Theft from Vehicle – 40 block of Ruth Street, occurred between 3:30am and 7:00am on 10/7. Sunglasses, change stolen.

Theft from Vehicle – 100 block of Wilbert Street, occurred between 10/8 7:00pm and 10/9 11:15am.

South Shore (1921)

South Side Flats (1702, 1609)

Theft from Person – 2000 block of Wharton Street, occurred between 6:30pm and 6:45pm on 10/1 (reported on 10/5). Book stolen.

Burglary of Residence – 2200 block of Larkins Way, occurred at 3:20pm on 10/6. Victim heard a noise and looked down the stairs to the first floor and saw someone in dark clothing run out the back door of the house. No signs of forced entry. Nothing taken. No physical description of actor.

Theft from Vehicle – 2400 block of Wrights Way, occurred between 10/6 9:00pm and 10/7 6:00am. Laptop, headphones, stethoscope, currency taken.

Theft from Vehicle – 2400 block of Wrights Way, occurred between 2:00pm and 3:00pm on 10/2 (reported on 10/7). Wallet with personal identification and debit card stolen.

Burglary of Residence – 1900 block of Harcum Way, occurred between 9:00am and 6:00pm on 10/6. Entry made through dining room window. Glock Model 22, money stolen.

Robbery (strong arm) – 2000 block of Wharton Street, occurred at 9:10pm on 10/7. Victim physically assaulted and robbed by 2 known males. CLEARED BY ARREST.

Theft – 400 block of S. 27th Street, occurred between 7:50pm and 8:10pm on 10/8. Victim left her purse unattended and it was taken. Purse was eventually located in a trash can, but wallet and contents were missing.

Theft – 50 block of S. 12th Street, occurred between 10:30am and 1:00pm on 10/8. Bottles of prescription drugs taken.

Theft from Vehicle – 2600 block of Sidney Street, occurred between 3:00pm and 5:00pm on 10/10. Firearm, inhaler, and cell phone stolen.

Theft from Vehicle – Bedford Square and Bingham Street, occurred on 10/8 at 9:30pm. Firearm stolen.

Stolen Car – 800 block of Bingham Street, occurred between 10/3 5:00pm and 10/10 1:00pm. 2001 Volkswagen stolen.

Burglary of Residence – 100 block of S. 16th Street, occurred between 3:00am and 3:27am on 10/10. One arrest.

Aggravated Assault – 1600 block of E. Carson Street, occurred at 2:20am. Two arrests.

Burglary of Residence – 1800 block of Carey Way, occurred between 10/9 4:00pm and 10/10 5:30pm. Entry made through rear window. Video game systems and games, iPad, MacBook Pro, laptop stolen.

Stolen Car – S. 11th Street and E. Carson Street, occurred between 10/10 6:00pm and 10/11 1:00pm. Toyota Prius stolen.

Theft – 1600 block of E. Carson Street, occurred at 1:00am on 10/11. Theft of cell phone.

Stolen Car – S. 13th Street and Wharton Street, occurred between 10/9 11:00pm and 10/10 4:00pm. 2005 Jeep Wrangler.

South Side Slopes (1706, 1608)

Theft – 2300 block of Mission Street, occurred between 10/9 7:00am and 10/10 12:45am. Theft of money.

Theft – 10 block of Pius Street, occurred between 10/10 7:00pm and 10/11 2:00pm. Theft of Halloween decorations.

Allentown (1803)

Burglary of Residence – 50 block of Millbridge Street, occurred at 9:37am on 10/5. Rear door broken in by two black male actors. First actor described as 6’1, 240 lbs, large build, black hair in braids, black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. Second actor only described as wearing a teal t-shirt.

Attempt Burglary of Residence – 700 block of Ceres Way, occurred at 9:40am on 10/5. Witness called 911 after seeing two actors (no description) attempt to break into a house. Actors attempted to make entry by opening a side window and were scared off a neighbor.

Attempt Burglary of Residence – 900 block of Eureka Street, occurred at 8:45am on 10/6. Victim observed a black male try to make entry to her house. Male fled. No further description of actor.

Burglary of Residence – 700 block of Ceres Way, occurred between 7:00am and 7:30am on 10/6. Neighbor witnessed two males breaking into residence by forcing open the rear door. First actor described as a black male between 18 and 20 years of age, 6’, 220 lbs large/heavy build wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. Second actor described as a black male between 18 and 20 years of age, 5’8, 175 small/thin build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt

Burglary of Residence – 400 block of Walter Street, occurred between 10/6 12:30am and 10/7 5:55pm. Entry made through basement window. Large flat screen TV, Xbox and games stolen.

Burglary of Business – 800 block of E. Warrington Avenue, occurred between 10:37pm and 11:00pm on 10/11. Entry made through second floor window. Alcohol and iPod Touch stolen.

Burglary of Residence – 900 block of Climax Street, occurred between 7:00am and 9:00pm on 10/4 (reported on 10/11). Entry through side window.

Knoxville (3001)

Stolen Car – 300 block of Zara Street, occurred between 10:00pm on 10/5 and 6:30am on 10/6. 2000 BMW stolen.

Robbery – 400 block of Alice Street, occurred at 12:50am on 10/8. Two males armed with guns forced their way into home. Actors described as: black male, dark complexion, between 15 and 30 years of age, 6’3, 180 lbs, muscular build, deep voice, wearing black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, knit black ski mask. Actor 2 described as a white male, pale skin with auburn beard, between 15 and 30 years of age, 6’4, 185 lbs, spoke with a lisp, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves.

Burglary of Residence – 200 block of Suncrest Street, occurred on 10/5. EXCEPTIONALLY CLEARED DUE TO REFUSAL OF VICTIM TO PROSECUTE KNOWN ACTOR.

Beltzhoover (1809)

Stolen Car – 600 block of W. Warrington Avenue, occurred between 10/9 9:00pm and 10/10 9:00am. 2009 Toyota Corolla stolen.

Mount Oliver City (1607)

Arlington (1603)

Robbery (strong arm) – 300 block of Dengler Street, occurred on 10/6 at 2:43pm. Victim robbed by known actor. CLEARED BY ARREST.

Burglary of Residence – 2100 block of Norte Way, reported on 10/6. Basement door kicked in and Sony Playstation 4, video games, reciprocating saw, and change taken.

Homicide – 2800 block of Arlington Avenue, occurred at 12:25am on 10/11. Officers dispatched for shots fired in area. Victim was shot multiple times.

Arlington Heights (1604)

Carrick (2901, 2902, 2904)

Burglary of Residence – 2300 block of Valera Street, occurred between 8:45am and 3:30pm on 10/5. Entry made through rear door. Jewelry stolen.

Aggravated Assault – 100 block of Hornaday Road, occurred at 9:35pm on 10/6. Male physically assaulted. No descriptions of actor(s).

Theft from Vehicle – 1200 block of Amanda Street, occurred between 10/9 9:15pm and 10/10 12:00pm. Change stolen

Theft – 100 block of Poplargrove Street, occurred between 10/1 12:00pm and 10/11 4:20pm. Theft of a dryer.

Theft from Vehicle – 10 block of Lodge Street, occurred between 3:00pm and 4:25pm on 10/10. Tools stolen.

Theft – Maytide Street and Brownsville Road, occurred between 3:15pm and 3:20pm on 10/9. Theft of money.
