Pair arrested in South Side on drug charges

The Pittsburgh Police Narcotics Unit arrested two suspects on a variety of charges on Friday, Sept. 25.

Detectives received information of drug activity and sales occurring at a house in the 2800 block of Mary Street in South Side. After a month long investigation, detectives executed a search warrant and recovered heroin, suboxone strips, digital scales, three firearms, and more than $300 in cash from the residence.

John Hancock, 34, and Meaghan McBride, 25, were taken to the Allegheny County Jail and face a variety of charges including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy, prohibited offense weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
