Last updated 9/28/2015 at 5:33pm

Up To Know Good will partner with The Hilltop Alliance, New Sun Rising and Work Hard Pittsburgh to present UpTo Mainstreet Allentown, October 5 - 9 at 827 E. Warrington Avenue.

UpTo Mainstreet is a one-week pop-up event staffed by independent creative professionals. During the pop-up event, marketing, design and communications services are provided a la carte and for a suggested donation. All of the advertising and marketing materials are created within a 48-hour time period.

The pop-up will help launch Pittsburgh Tall to deliver free or subsidized technology and marketing services to small business for those who are eligible.

“We build marketing materials on-demand so we can get them in the hands of small business owners right away,” said Jennifer Highfield, partner and community manager of UpTo Know Good. “Business owners need these tools to help gain new customers or sell their services.”

UpTo Mainstreet will transform an empty storefront into office space at 815 E. Warrington Ave. in Allentown, increasing accessibility for small businesses. Businesses can make an appointment or walk into the storefront to receive consultations that help businesses gain a better understanding of how their purchased items could impact their long-term goals. Appointments are encouraged at

UpTo Mainstreet will be bookended by two events. The inaugural event on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 827 E. Warrington Ave from 5-7 p.m. will kickoff UpTo Mainstreet and will introduce businesses to the a la cart services offered and the Pittsburgh Tall program.

The finale, from 4 - 6 p.m. on October 9 will be an exhibition of the work created that showcases the work completed for businesses throughout the week. Both events are free and will include food and beverages.

“We’re extremely excited to have UpTo Mainstreet in Allentown,” said Siena Kane, Allentown business district manager. “The program will bring resources to the emerging businesses on East Warrington and will also advertise the unique opportunities available to small businesses that are looking to expand to a commercial storefront in this neighborhood.”

During these events, Work Hard Pittsburgh and New Sun Rising will showcase long-term services that businesses can continue to receive after UpTo Mainstreet ends.

Work Hard Pittsburgh will introduce businesses to the Pittsburgh Tall program. This year long program gives Allentown businesses access to the co-working talent in Work Hard Pittsburgh completely free of charge. Businesses will apply to receive $2,000 to $5,000 worth of technology and marketing services staffed by local freelancers.

Businesses who are looking to benefit from these services are advised to attend both the Inaugural Kickoff and Finale.
