Energy, money saving workshops in So. Side
Conservation Consultants Inc. (CCI) is offering a three-session workshop series on Energy for area residents at The Ann Jones Gerace Center, formerly Conservation Consultants Inc., 64 S. 14th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
The workshops, held on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. include:
September 30—Decoding Your Energy Bill: Everyone pays their utility bills every month, but do they really know what they are paying for? The workshop will provide everyone with a breakdown of what makes up the utility bills. Residents should bring their bill with them to follow along and decode the surprising details.
October 14—Cut Costs Not Comfort With Efficiency: Learn how to make your home more efficient while avoiding household hazards
October 28—The Future of Energy and What it Means to You: Duquesne Light is rolling out smart meters to all homes. Learn more about it and about hot trends in residential energy efficiency, from Passive House to Zero Energy Homes and the new, affordable market for solar and renewable energy.
The workshops are free to all community residents through the support of the Birmingham Foundation.
