Dan Gigler and Raelynn Harshman welcomed visitors to their "Pittsburgh Zen Garden" on Sarah Street. The garden featured a mix of elements from vegetables and herbs to Japanese Zen. Slate and stones are arranged to represent Pittsburgh's three rivers.
The fourth annual South Side Garden Tour featured one public garden and 10 residential gardens scattered throughout the neighborhood. The South Pittsburgh Reporter visited two of the gardens on the tour: the "Rooftop Bioshelter" on Roland Street and the "Pittsburgh Zen Garden" on Sarah Street.
