Community Cornfest in Carrick on Saturday


The annual Community Cornfest, hosted by the Carrick and Overbrook community councils, will take place this Saturday, August 22, from noon until 6 p.m. at Phillips Park in Carrick.

This year’s Cornfest will feature food, fun, vendors, entertainment, games and corn!

Vendors planning to participate at the event include: Carrick Community Council; Overbrook Community Council; Carrick-Overbrook Historical Society; Sto-Rox Neighborhood Health Council; Pittsburgh Roosevelt School with children’s games, pierogies, hot dogs, nachos, hamburgers and more; Toastmasters Carrick PA; Pittsburgh Public Schools Early Childhood Program; and, Redeeming Grace Church, assisting with the corn;

Also, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh—Carrick Branch; Girl Scouts of Western PA selling cookies; H & R Block; Mystic Soaps; Kelly’s Asian Art and Craft; YMCA Outreach; Midwest Beagle Rescue, Education and Welfare; Variety Club and Phillips Park Advisory Council; Readshaw Funeral Home; 3 Rivers Postcard Club;

Rabbit Wranglers; Author Malissa Clay; Western PA Sheltie Rescue; Pathvu; plus, local EMS and Fire.
