Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 164/15 on Thursday, August 13 at 9:10 a.m. is the appeal of James and Shannon Stevenson, owners and applicants, for 326 Olympia Street in the 19th Ward (Zoning District R1D-M).

Applicant requests one-story porch enclosure for a single-family dwelling.

Variances: 903.03.C.2: Minimum 30’ exterior side setback required and 20’ requested.

Zone case 214/15 on Thursday, August 13 at 9:30 a.m. is the appeal of Richard Serafini, owner and applicant, for 2213 Parklyn Street in the 32th Ward (Zoning District R1D-M).

Applicant requests new rear deck for a single-family dwelling.

Variance: 903.03.C.3: Minimum 5’ interior side setback required and 2’ requested.

Zone case 171/15 on Thursday, August 13 at 9:40 a.m. is the appeal of DUBOIS2 LLC, owner and applicant, for 1006 East Carson Street in the 17th Ward (Zoning District LNC).

Applicant requests LED pricing panel for the existing business ID ground sign.

Variance: 919.03.O.3: Electronic non-advertising signs are not permitted in LNC zoning district.

Notes: Certificate of Occupany 2455, dated 1985, permitted occupancy, “One-story convenience store with gasoline station and four outdoor parking stalls.” Certificate of Occupany 84321, dated 2/6/2003, permitted occupancy, “One 22’x6’ illuminated business ID pole sign; three 36”x36” (each) illuminated canopy business ID signs; one 18”x60” illuminated business ID wall sign for gas station.”
