Volunteers welcome to help build a rain garden in Mt. Washington

 


Join the Girl Scout Jessica Friss Mount Washington Community Development Corp. to help build a rain garden on Thursday, July 30 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the trail entrance to Emerald View Park at the end of Republic Street.

The rain garden will help prevent soil runoff and trail erosion.

This project is funded by Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s 25 in 25 Grant Program with partial support from the Richard King Mellon Foundation.

Volunteers should wear long pants and close-toed shoes. All the tools will and lunch be provided. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle.
