Pittsburgh’s Zoning Board of Adjustment has scheduled the following public hearings of interest to South Pittsburgh residents in the first floor hearing room of the John P. Robin Civic Building, 200 Ross Street, Downtown.

Zone case 121/15 on Thursday, June 25 at 9:20 a.m. is the appeal of Potters House Ministries Inc., owner, and Prince Finey, applicant, for 430 Cathedral Avenue in the 16th Ward (Zoning District R1D-M).

Applicant requests continued use of first floor and basement of existing structure as child care (general) for a maximum of 80 children ages from 6 months to 12 years old to operate Monday - Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with afterschool program from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Special Exception: 921.02.A.1: Expansion of a nonconforming use is a Special Exception.

Past Cases and Decisions: ZBA 49 or 2007, Special Exception approved to occupy basement of 2-story plus basement structure as child care (general) for a maximum of 20 children ages 6 weeks to 9 years old to operate Monday - Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Notes: Certificate of Occupany 200700827, dated 9/6/2007, permitted occupancy, “Occupy basement of 2-story plus basement structure as child care (general) for a maximum of 20 children ages 6 weeks to 9 years old to operate Monday - Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.”

Zone case 198/15 on Thursday, July 9 at 9:10 a.m. is the appeal of Milorad Krajnovic, owner applicant, for 329 Grandview Avenue in the 19th Ward (Zoning District GPR-A).

Applicant requests new 12.5’x13.5’ second-story deck for two-family dwelling.

Variance: 908.02.C.3: Minimum 15’ front setback required and 2’ requested.

Notes: Certificate of Occupany 78478, dated 12/23/1999, permitted occupancy, “Multiple family (party wall) dwelling with four dwelling units ac 329 Grandview Avenue.”
