Carrick council quarterly meeting

The Carrick Community Council will hold its quarterly meeting on Monday, June 22, 7 p.m. at the Zion Christian Church, 2019 Brownsville Road, Carrick.

As part of the meeting community leaders and city organizations will unveil the final designs for a Dairy District Marketplace to occupy the vacant lot across from Colteryahn Dairy. After extensive planning and an initial public meeting to discuss the priorities of the community, the final design will be available for comment at this meeting.

Presenting the plans will be Economic Development South, Carrick Community Council, Desmone Architects, The Design Center, and the Office of Councilwoman Natalia Rudiak. Community stakeholders have worked to design a space for the lot on the corner of Brownsville Road and E. Meyers St. and are ready to present the final design to the public. There will be an opportunity for feedback and questions.

For more information, contact Kathleen Keating from Economic Development South at kkeating@economicdevelopmentsouth.org or 412-884-1400 x105, or the Carrick Community Council at carrickcommunitycouncil@gmail.com.
