City will host a Capital Budget Forum for residents at the S.S. Market House

The city is hosting two Deliberative Forums on the Capital Budget to provide a more robust way for residents to share ideas on 2016 budget priorities.

Modeled after the successful police chief public meetings, these new forums will give neighbors a chance to learn about the budget and add community voices to the budgeting process. Forums are open to every resident of Pittsburgh.

The first session will be on Wednesday, June 3 from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Greenfield Healthy Active Living Center, 745 Greenfield Ave, 15217.

A second session is planned for South Pittsburgh on Monday, June 22 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the South Side Market House, 1 Bedford Square, 15203.

Each session will include: a brief overview of the budgeting process, small group discussions of budget priorities and residents› needs and an opportunity for residents to ask questions of an expert panel

Catering is provided, but participants are asked to register ahead of time by calling 412-255-4773 or by visiting Walk-in registration will be available on the day of the forum.
